Fault current Indicator Family for Overhead Distribution Networks

LOK 200 is a 32-bit microprocessor-based fault current indicator, which uses latest technology, methods and algorithms for reliable
and accurate line-fault detection and indication. Visual and remote indication guides the line crew for fast fault location, isolation
and network restoration.
The device detects phase-to-earth (directional) and phase-to-phase faults by monitoring the magnetic and electric fields generated
by line current and voltage. Advanced detection algorithms are tracking steady state and changes in both fields. By measuring and
calculating the harmonic structure, pulse changes, amplitude and phase shifts, the device accurately detects and classifies fault
types.
Data of detected faults are stored in internal non-volatile storage media. Time-tagged event record comprises fault type, line
voltage status, device and communication signal status information. Under a normal operating condition the device can store
indicative line load values on the micro SD memory card. All stored data records can be remotely downloaded by the user for post
event and operation analysis.
The device is powered by a solar panel providing enough energy for more intense communication and fault indication, regardless of
how frequent may faults occur.

LOK 200 Features:

Installation on the pole of 3-phase 4 - 35 kV distribution lines
For isolated, compensated or impedance earthed MV networks
High phase-to-earth fault sensitivity from 2 A
Sensitivity and trip delays separately configurable for phase-to-earth and phase-to-phase faults
Visual fault indication with high intensity red LED - 360 visibility Adaptive fault detection algorithms that
adjust to the line voltage/current state and conductor geometric arrangement
Wide area of application as stand-alone device, for sectionalizers and remote controlled line disconnectors
Configuration locally programmable with micro switches and/or PC software configuration tool or remotely
Health check of battery, devices condition and GSM signal quality. Triggering by RF remote control.
Firmware upgradeable
Solar powered, battery lifetime >8 years regardless of number and duration of indications
