CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

PREAMBLE
We the officers and the members of the College of Health Community Service Society (CCSS),
establish an organization that shall embrace the ideals and aspirations required in strengthening a
community and contributes to the welfare of its residents. Working together with the community
population will develop unity, cooperation and understanding in all approved activities that will
benefit the community participants with the aid of Father Almighty, do ordain and establish this
constitution and By-Laws.
ARTICLE I
Section 1. The organization is hereby organized is known as the College of Health Community
Service Society (CCSS).
ARTICLE II
Objective of the Organization

Section 1. Organizational Objectives

The organization aims to:
a) To develop students a strong social, and moral responsibility to the school, community
and the nation.
b) To promote active citizenry among students.
c) To develop a sense of volunteerism among students and spur them on to develop a lifelong habit of community involvement.
d) To help utilizes community resources.
e) To build up a caring community.
ARTICLE III
Membership
Section 1. Membership in the College of Health Community Service Society (CCSS) is open to
all students of College of Health who have indicated their willingness to accept the purpose of
the organization and who wish to contribute through voluntary service.

ARTICLE IV
Rights and Obligations of Members
Section 1. The members of the organization have the right to:
a. Know then activities undertaken by the organization;
b. Participate actively in the different activities of the organization; and
c. Be aware of the accomplishments of the organizations.
Section 2. Accordingly, the members of the organization have the obligation to:

Support and help in the conduct of the different programs of the organization;
Attend regular and special meetings; and
Maintain a good image for the organization.

ARTICLE V
The Officers
Section 1. The College of Health Community Service Society (CCSS) is composed of the

Section 2. Officers should be elected the Duties and Responsibilities of the Officers.
Section 3. The following are the Duties and Responsibilities of the officers.
a. The President
1. Heads the organizational supervises the officers and the members.
2. Calls and presides over organizational meetings.
3. Represents organization in the inter-organizational conferences or assemblies; and
4. Performs other function as maybe prescribed by the adviser of the organization.
b. The Vice-President
1. Assists the President in the performance of his/her duties.
2. Takes over the responsibilities and functions of the President in his or her absences or
inability to perform actively.
3. Performs other function as maybe prescribed by the President or/and the Adviser of
the organization.
c. The Secretary

1. Files important documents of the organization.
2. Takes down the minutes of the organizational meetings.
3. Checks the attendance of the Officers and the members during meetings and record
their absence; and
4. Performs other functions as maybe prescribed by the President or/and the Adviser of
the organization.
d. The Treasurer
1. Keeps, together with the President, an up-to-date report of amounts and financial
records of the organization.
2. Collects monetary contributions from the officers and members of the organization;
and
3. Performs other functions as maybe prescribed by the President or/and the Adviser of
the organization.
ARTICLE VI
Term of Office
Section 1. The officers and members of the Community Volunteers shall have a term of one
academic year.
Section 2. The adviser shall have final approval authority in all elections.
ARTICLE VII
Impeachment
Section 1. If at any time of the principal members do not fulfill their roles in their best capacity
or question the integrity of the team they are subject to impeach.
ARTICLE VIII
Organizational Meeting
Section 1. Regular meetings are scheduled after the officers had agreed on the date, time and
venue.
Section 2. Special meetings or emergency meeting maybe called for by the President whenever
necessary.
Section 3. All meetings are to be conducted in the manner provided in the Constitution and ByLaws.
ARTICLE IX
Amendments
Section 1. Amendments of the Constitution and By-Laws may be done in a meeting called for the
purpose by majority vote of the officers present in the place and the time and the manner which
shall be fixed by the President.

ARTICLE X
Effectiveness
Section 1. This Constitution and By-Laws shall take effect immediately after its ratification by
majority members of the organization in a special meeting called for that purpose.
