Summer Camps are great experience for kids. They give kids a
chance to participate in fun activities, play sports, meet new people,
learn new skills, develop their talents and experience nature.
However, the cost of summer camp for just one child can be steep,
let alone for multiple children in a family. Sometimes, transportation
and summer schedules can be an issue. May be you would love the
summer camp experience for your child(ren), but you are unable to
send them. May be the long, unstructured summer stretches out
before you and you feel overwhelmed by activity. May be you are
looking for ways to encourage reading and discovering throughout
the summer. Hosting your own summer camp can be fun for the
entire family. So zoom into the rocket of your imagination and plan a
summer camp wherein all your family members will be involved. Take

As you would want maximum children to join your summer

camp, you will have to adopt different advertising ideas
like- pamphlets, Flexes, Local cable channels, Social sites.
Now find out which method of advertising is the most economical
and through which maximum children can join the summer camp.
The USP of your camp is learning with fun and you have to
design your own unique mathematical games like Snakes and
ladders on mathematical operations, Crosswords,
Mathematical anagrams, Business etc.

Decide and plan your own adventurous summer camp location,

which can be:
A Hill or Mountain
A River Bank
Nearby to a Waterfall
Or a Beautiful Island
Make a list of the items in your scrapbook that you will pack in
your bags as per the climatic conditions of that place. Also
mention how the climate of your city is different from that
place.

Research and observation

Nature has bestowed upon us a myriad of wonderful things that we fail
to observe in our daily routine.

Plan activities that will give you a chance to notice these things as you
will be freefrom studies, school and other daily activities.

Observe the gifts given by nature and classify them into living and nonliving things.

Your summer camp should be real treat for your senses. Keep your
eyes and ears open and look out for things that tickle your senses eg.

a striking colour of something, a dish having wonderful aroma,

something too soft or furry or spiny, something having a strange sound
or a different taste.

Use scrapbook/PPT for your observations and activities.

To make your presentation more attractive and presentable

APPRECIATION

Learn as much as you can while you are young, since life becomes
too busy later.
Homework is a bridge that joins schools and parents. From the
schools perspective there is an opportunity to monitor students
independent progress. For parents there is a greater
appreciation of education and to express positive attitude
towards their childrens achievement.
