OLD NORM
Drug lords and their cohorts acted with
impunity. People have low trust at PNP,
Fiscals and Judges. High ranking
government officials are involved in the
illegal drug trade. People do not feel safe
in the streets and their homes.

NEW NORM
Respect and fear of the law have been
restored. Drug lords and their supporters
are on the run. People are beginning to
feel safe. Renewed trust on our law
enforcers and government under
President Duterte.

ARE WE USING THE TERM

EXTRAJUDICIAL KILLINGS
LOOSELY TO DISCREDIT
THE PNP AND THE
DUTERTE ADMINISTRATION?

There is a need for a clear-cut definition

of what extrajudicial killings is.
The name is a misnomer since every killing,
outside death penalty, is extrajudicial.

INTER-AGENCY BODY HAS FAILED

Killings of journalists in late 2013 and early 2014 and
the Maguindanao Massacre case, in which 58 people
mostly journalists and media workerswere killed in
2009 REMAIN UNSOLVED.
Although the Aquino administration vowed in 2012 to
expedite investigations into killings of journalists by
creating a superbody, little progress appears to have
been made. The superbody had only processed four
cases at time of writing, resulting in the conviction of
five people. However, the alleged masterminds who
planned and financed these killings remained at large.

Basilan Bishop Martin Jumoad is pinning his hopes

on the new president, particularly on his fight against
drugs and criminality, saying he is tired of
lawlessness and kidnappings.
I would like to see our young normal and our
security peaceful President Duterte has the political
will to do it. Luck knocks only once. Lets cooperate
with him, Jumoad said.

Misinformation and disinformation.
