Research Methodology:

The study was conducted at different hospitals of Lahore Punjab including Kishwar
Fazal Teaching Hospital,Sr.Ganga Ram Hospital,Miyo Hospital,Services Hospital and
Lady walington Hospital from January 2016 to jully 2016. Approval of the study was
taken from Dr.Mohsin Khan ,Head of Departement Community Medicine at Amna
Inayat Medical College Sheikhupura.Informed Consent were taken from the subjects
prior to their inclusion in the study.It was a descriptive cross sectional study on
obesity and its effects on fertility and included150 subjects declared obese.
Sample Size: Sample size will be determined by literature review and statistical
calculation.
Sampling Frame: Sampling frame was provided by the Department of Community
Medicine Amna Inayat Medical College Sheikhupura.
Inclusion Criteria: Women between the age group of 20-45 years.
Only the women giving consent and willing to participate will be included.

Tools And Techniques Used In Data Collection:

Structured questionnaires were used.
Data was collected by interview and measurements.
Weighing scale and measuring tapes were used to calculate BMI.
Reliabillity: reliability of the tool was done taking 150 samples and calculated by
using Cronbachs alpha.

Validity: The content validity of the research tool for its completeness
and clarity was maintained through literature review and consultation
with concerned advisor,subject teachers,guides and experts.
Statistical Analysis:
Data will be analysed using statistical package for social science(SPSS)
16.version.
Chi square test and binary logistic regression with categorical variation was
used.
Ethical Issues:
Formal approval was obtained from the concerened authorities.
Informed verbal consent was obtained from each respondent before giving
the questionnaire.

Confidentiallity was maintained throughout the study and will be maintained

later.

Delimitations:
Sample was selected only from one city.
Women between the age of 20-45 were included.
Only the selected variables were studied.
