Think of this class as if it were your job. All the things any employer would expect, I expect. The goal is that you leave my class
a more responsible and successful student with skills that will
help you in your career or collage life after high school.

Materials/Equipment: These are shared within the class

period and with all my classes. It is important that care is
taken when using and that they are returned in the same
condition they were received. Students will check out/in
equipment as individuals or in groups. The person/group is
responsible for the equipment until it is checked back in in
the same condition it was checked out.

Beginning of class: When students walk into the class they

need to be getting ready to work. When the final bell rings,
this is like you have just clocked in to your job. Once you
clock in, you are expected to be productive. If students are 4.
not ready to work when the bell rings there may be a loss of
work points.
During Class: Employers expect their employees to be productive while they are at work and to not waste company
time. While in class, students are expected to be on task
and not wasting time. Time wasters like cell phones, video
games, unproductive socialization, and sleeping are not tol-

5.

Clean up: Near the end of class, everyone is expected to

help clean up their area. This means the table and floor in
the area you work and returning/signing in any equipment
used. If using a computer, all work should be saved and the
computer logged off, but not turned off unless instructed.
Bell: Students are to remain in their seats until the instructor dismisses them. The bell does not dismiss the class.
