i) Advise AMRO on all matters related to banking supervision, macro and micro prudential policies, and
banking transactions in ASEAN+3 countries;
ii) Assist AMRO in conducting macroeconomic and financial surveillance;
iii) Monitor global economic developments and provide ongoing assessment of their possible impacts on
ASEAN+3;
iv) Monitor and report on fiscal, monetary, and exchange rate policies in all ASEAN+3 economies;
v) Monitor and report on potential vulnerabilities in macroeconomic and financial structures within
ASEAN+3;
vi) Monitor and report on progress on banking and corporate sector restructuring and recapitalization in
affected economies;
vii) Monitor and report on capital market developments globally and within ASEAN+3;
viii) Monitor and report on social sector developments;
ix) Provide quarterly updates of major global, macroeconomic, structural, capital market, and policy
developments;
x) Contribute inputs to the semiannual surveillance reports based on economic and financial monitoring
activities;
xi) Contribute to the design and review of special issue studies in the fields of macroeconomics and capital
markets;
xii) Guide and help AMRO staff prepare surveillance reports, special issue studies, and interim updates.
