LANKEM EPOXY ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMER

A solvent-borne two component (Epoxy-Polyamide) high performance matt finish anticorrosive primer for
anticorrosive priming mainly on interior steelworks, Epoxy Iron Oxide Primer offers good corrosion resistance,
flexibility, toughness and chemical resistance.

Drying Time

Under normal drying conditions surface dry in 1 hours, recoatable after 16

hours and maximum 5 days, Allow for adequate ventilation during the drying
period.

Limitations

For interior use only and Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are
likely to fall below 5C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during
application or the drying period.

PREPARATION
New Surfaces

Surfaces must be clean and free from anything that will interfere with the
materials to be applied. Wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to
remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow to dry. Remove all millscale and
rust back to clean metal. Remove all residues.

Previously Decorated Surfaces

All surfaces must be suitably dry, and free from anything that will interfere
with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Remove all loose and failing
or suspect paint. Feather edges of sound paint. Remove all dust. Remove all
rust. Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and liquid detergent solution
to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water. Wet abraded to
provide a rough surface. Rinse with clean water to remove all residues. Allow
to dry.

COATING SYSTEM

Apply one coat two coats.

APPLICATION

Stir Colour Base well and mixed two components Base to Hardener 3 : 1 ratio
by weight and mix till the mixture is homogeneous and thin with Lankem
Epoxy Thinner maximum 5 % by volume. Apply by brush or spray. Once
mixed, Lankem Zinc Phosphate Primer has pot life of 4 hours only. If it
hardens cannot be used thereafter.

CLEANING

Return surplus material to container and clean with a proper cleaner

immediately after use

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Please refer to the Safety, Health and Environmental Information on the

container and Material Safety Data Sheet. When preparing all surfaces avoid
the inhalation of dust and/or metal particles. Wear a suitable facemask. Store
in secure, dry conditions and inaccessible to children or animals. Containers
should be kept closed during storage. Do not empty into drains, watercourses
or access routes to septic tanks.

GENERAL INFORMATION Under normal and frost free conditions this product will remain usable for up
to two years if stored correctly and unopened.
