Triple-A Colorado Springs Sky Sox - Pacific Coast League (American Northern)

Unofficial Player of the Day

3B Weston Wilson collected 3 hits with
the Helena Brewers yesterday. The High
Point, NC (Furniture and Hosiery Capital
of the World) native raised his slash line
to .321/.398/.500 with 23 extra-base hits
this year. In 22 games in August, the
Brewers 17th-round selection from the
2016 First-Year Player Draft is batting
.346/.426/.543.
Unofficial Pitcher of the Day
LHP Wei-Chung Wang took a loss for
the Sky Sox, despite hurling a quality
start. The Taitung City, Taiwan native
allowed a run on 5 hits and struck out
5 in 7 innings yesterday. He moved to
1-2 with a 3.80 ERA (21.1ip, 9er) with
a walk and 19 strikeouts in 4 starts with
Colorado Springs. In 23 starts between
Double-A and Triple-A this year, Wang
is 7-7 with a 3.57 ERA (128.2ip, 51er)
with 34 walks and 110 strikeouts.
Watch Out for Wisconsin
The Timber Rattlers enter the day
a 0.5 game back from the wild card
spot. There are seven games remaining
in their campaign. In addition, T-Rats
pitchers currently lead the Midwest
League with 1,220 strikeouts. The
team's franchise record is 1,274, which
they accomplished in 1998.
Here Come the Shuckers
The Shuckers are 6.0 games out of
the division, but still have a chance of
making the playoffs. They can make
it if Pensacola clinches the secondhalf and the Shuckers have the next
best overall record. Pensacola currently
sits 1.5 games out of first place, and
the Shuckers are 1.0 game behind
Mississippi in the wild card standings.
The team finishes the season with a
5-game series at Mississippi.
Don't Mess with Diaz
INF Isan Diaz socked his 20th homer
of the season yesterday. The Bayamon,
PR native leads the Midwest League
and organization in home runs.

CF Lewis Brinson is batting
.397/.403/.662 with 10 extra-base hits
and 4 steals in 18 games since he was
acquired by the Brewers.
Everybody Loves Corey Ray
CF Corey Ray has safely reached base
in 18 of his last 20 games. He is
batting .268/.355/.463 in that span with
10 extra-base hits.
Everyday Erceg
3B Lucas Erceg has safely hit in 13 of
his last 14 games. In 36 games with the
T-Rats, Erceg is batting .299/.346/.517
