11AnditcametopassinthetwentysixthyearofthereignofHezekiahkingofJudahthathecalledManasseh
hisson.2Nowhewashisonlyone.AndhecalledhimintothepresenceofIsaiahthesonofAmoztheprophet
andintothepresenceofJsbthesonofIsaiah.
6bAndwhilsthe(Hezekiah)gavecommands,JsbthesonofIsaiahstandingby,7IsaiahsaidtoHezekiahthe
king,butnotinthepresenceofManassehonlydidhesayuntohim:'AstheLordliveth,whosenamehasnot
beensentintothisworld,[andastheBelovedofmyLordliveth],andastheSpiritwhichspeakethinmeliveth,
allthesecommandsandthesewordsshallbemadeofnoneeffectbyManassehthyson,andthroughtheagency
ofhishandsIshalldepartmidthetortureofmybody.8AndSammaelMalchrshallserveManasseh,and
executeallhisdesire,andheshallbecomeafollowerofBeliarratherthanofme.9AndmanyinJerusalemand
inJudaeaheshallcausetoabandonthetruefaith,andBeliarshalldwellinManasseh,andbyhishandsIshall
besawnasunder.'10AndwhenHezekiahheardthesewordsheweptverybitterly,andrenthisgarments,and
placedearthuponhishead,andfellonhisface.11AndIsaiahsaiduntohim:'ThecounselofSammaelagainst
Manassehisconsummated:noughtshallavailthee.'12AndonthatdayHezekiah

resolvedinhishearttoslayManassehhisson.13AndIsaiahsaidtoHezekiah:['TheBelovedhathmadeofnone
effectthydesign,and]thepurposeofthyheartshallnotbeaccomplished,forwiththiscallinghaveIbeencalled
[andIshallinherittheheritageoftheBeloved].'
21AnditcametopassafterthatHezekiahdiedandManassehbecameking,thathedidnotrememberthe
commandsofHezekiahhisfatherbutforgatthem,andSammaelabodeinManassehandclungfasttohim.2
AndManassehforsooktheserviceoftheGodofhisfather,andheservedSatanandhisangelsandhispowers.3
AndheturnedasidethehouseofhisfatherwhichhadbeenbeforethefaceofHezekiah<from>thewordsof
wisdomandfromtheserviceofGod.AndManassehturnedasidehishearttoserveBeliarfortheangelof
lawlessness,whoistherulerofthisworld,isBeliar,whosenameisMatanbchs.Andhedelightedin
JerusalembecauseofManasseh,andhemadehimstronginapostatizing(Israel)andinthelawlessnesswhich
wasspreadabroadinJerusalem.5Andwitchcraftandmagicincreasedanddivinationandauguration,and
fornication,[andadultery],andthepersecutionoftherighteousbyManassehand[Belachr,and]Tobiathe
Canaanite,andJohnofAnathoth,andby<Zadok>thechiefoftheworks.6Andtherestoftheacts,beholdthey
arewritteninthebookoftheKingsofJudahandIsrael.7AndwhenIsaiahthesonofAmozsawthelawlessness
whichwasbeingperpetratedinJerusalemandtheworshipofSatanandhiswantonness,hewithdrewfrom
JerusalemandsettledinBethlehemofJudah.8Andtherealsotherewasmuchlawlessness,andwithdrawing
fromBethlehemhesettledonamountaininadesertplace.9[AndMicaiahtheprophet,andtheagedAnanias,
andJoelandHabakkuk,andhissonJsb,andmanyofthefaithfulwhobelievedintheascensionintoheaven,
withdrewandsettledonthemountain.]10Theywereallclothedwithgarmentsofhair,andtheywereall
prophets.Andtheyhadnothingwiththembutwerenaked,andtheyalllamentedwithagreatlamentation
becauseofthegoingastrayofIsrael.11Andtheseeatnothingsavewildherbswhichtheygatheredonthe
mountains,andhavingcookedthem,theylivedthereontogetherwithIsaiahtheprophet.Andtheyspenttwo
yearsofdaysonthemountainsandhills.12[Andafterthis,whilsttheywereinthedesert,therewasacertain
maninSamarianamedBelchr,ofthefamilyofZedekiah,thesonofChenaan,afalseprophetwhosedwelling
wasinBethlehem.NowHezekiahthesonofChann,whowasthebrotherofhisfather,andinthedaysof
AhabkingofIsraelhadbeentheteacherofthe400prophetsofBaal,

hadhimselfsmittenandreprovedMicaiahthesonofAmdtheprophet.13Andhe,Micaiah,hadbeen
reprovedbyAhabandcastintoprison.<Andhewas>withZedekiahtheprophet:theywerewithAhaziahthe
sonofAhab,kinginSamaria.14AndElijahtheprophetofTbnofGileadwasreprovingAhaziahand
Samaria,andprophesiedregardingAhaziahthatheshoulddieonhisbedofsickness,andthatSamariashould

bedeliveredintothehandofLebaNsrbecausehehadslaintheprophetsofGod.15Andwhenthefalse
prophets,whowerewithAhaziahthesonofAhabandtheirteacherGemariasofMountJoelhadheardnow
hewasbrotherofZedekiah16whentheyhadheard,theypersuadedAhaziahthekingofAguaronandslew
Micaiah.
31AndBelchrrecognizedandsawtheplaceofIsaiahandtheprophetswhowerewithhimforhedweltin
theregionofBethlehem,andwasanadherentofManasseh.AndheprophesiedfalselyinJerusalem,andmany
belongingtoJerusalemwereconfederatewithhim,andhewasaSamaritan.2AnditcametopasswhenAlagar
Zagr,kingofAssyria,hadcomeandcapturedSamariaandtakenthenine<andahalf>tribescaptive,andled
themawaytothemountainsoftheMedesandtheriversofTzn3this(Belchr)whilestillayouth,had
escapedandcometoJerusaleminthedaysofHezekiahkingofJudah,buthewalkednotinthewaysofhis
fatherofSamariaforhefearedHezekiah.4AndhewasfoundinthedaysofHezekiahspeakingwordsof
lawlessnessinJerusalem.5AndtheservantsofHezekiahaccusedhim,andhemadehisescapetotheregionof
Bethlehem.6Andtheypersuaded...AndBelchraccusedIsaiahandtheprophetswhowerewithhim,saying:
'IsaiahandthosewhoarewithhimprophesyagainstJerusalemandagainstthecitiesofJudahthattheyshallbe
laidwasteand<againstthechildrenofJudahand>Benjaminalsothattheyshallgointocaptivity,andalso
againstthee,Olordtheking,thatthoushaltgo(bound)withhooksandironchains':7Buttheyprophesyfalsely
againstIsraelandJudah.8AndIsaiahhimselfhathsaid:'IseemorethanMosestheprophet.'9ButMosessaid:
'NomancanseeGodandlive':andIsaiahhathsaid:'IhaveseenGodandbeholdIlive.'10Know,therefore,O
king,thatheislying.AndJerusalemalsohehathcalledSodom,andtheprincesofJudahandJerusalemhehath

declaredtobethepeopleofGomorrah.AndhebroughtmanyaccusationsagainstIsaiahandtheprophetsbefore
Manasseh.11ButBeliardweltintheheartofManassehandintheheartoftheprincesofJudahandBenjamin
andoftheeunuchsandofthecouncillorsoftheking.12AndthewordsofBelchrpleasedhim[exceedingly],
andhesentandseizedIsaiah.
51bAndhesawedhimasunderwithawoodsaw.2AndwhenIsaiahwasbeingsawninsunderBalchrstood
up,accusinghim,andallthefalseprophetsstoodup,laughingandrejoicingbecauseofIsaiah.3AndBalchr,
withtheaidofMechmbchs,stoodupbeforeIsaiah,[laughing]deriding4AndBelchrsaidtoIsaiah:'Say:
"IhaveliedinallthatIhavespoken,andlikewisethewaysofManasseharegoodandright.5Andtheways
alsoofBalchrandofhisassociatesaregood."'6Andthishesaidtohimwhenhebegantobesawninsunder.
7ButIsaiahwas(absorbed)inavisionoftheLord,andthoughhiseyeswereopen,hesawthem<not>.8And
BalchrspakethustoIsaiah:'SaywhatIsayuntotheeandIwillturntheirheart,andIwillcompelManasseh
andtheprincesofJudahandthepeopleandallJerusalemtoreverencethee.'9AndIsaiahansweredandsaid:
'SofarasIhaveutterance(Isay):Damnedandaccursedbethouandallthypowersandallthyhouse.10For
thoucanstnottake(fromme)aughtsavetheskinofmybody.'11AndtheyseizedandsawedinsunderIsaiah,
thesonofAmoz,withawoodsaw.12AndManassehandBalchrandthefalseprophetsandtheprincesand
thepeople[and]allstoodlookingon.13Andtotheprophetswhowerewithhimhesaidbeforehehadbeen
sawninsunder:'GoyetotheregionofTyreandSidonforformeonlyhathGodmingledthecup.'14Andwhen
Isaiahwasbeingsawninsunder,heneithercriedaloudnorwept,buthislipsspakewiththeHolySpirituntilhe
wassawnintwain.
