Instilling a sense of
Sem. 1 Calendar
Gym
We are well underway into the school year! The energy in the building has been
extraordinary. I have enjoyed visiting classrooms, seeing smiling faces in the
hallways and all the work being put in during after school activities and athletics.
We had a very informative AAA meeting in August and I encourage you to attend
future meetings and become a AAA member.
September athletics really kicks off. For all our student athletes out there, stay
hydrated! It is still very hot out there. Stay organized with your studies,
communicate with your teachers early and often and please, please, please get
plenty of sleep.
In regards to important reminders: We will have our Parent Night at 6pm on 9/7
beginning in the gym. Bring your comfortable shoes as you will be moving class to
class through your students schedule that evening. We also have Senior Parent
Night 9/26 in the theater at 6pm. Important information will be shared.
The PSAT is now on sale for all Juniors who wish to take it. The registration
deadline is Friday, October 14th and the fee is $15. Students can pay the
bookkeeper directly or online through the webstore at rhshuskies.com.
Parents, we must have a guardian pick-up your student from school. If you are
arranging someone other than a guardian listed in our Infinite Campus system, we
must have written permission from you allow another person to take your student
off campus. We have had numerous issues already this year where office staff
have had to contact parents to authorize pick-up from a non-guardian. Thank you
for your attention to this important matter.
On 9/7, the same day as our Parent Night, we will be hosting the Club Fair at lunch
in the back quad. This is a great time to learn about all the amazing programs we
have at our school. I highly recommend our students visit each table presenting
information about their clubs and even sign-up for a couple! It is always high
energy and lots of fun!

YEARBOOK
September 15 - Makeup day for school photos
(Again, if the student does not take responsibility to
have a photo taken on this date, s/he will not be
able to be included in the yearbook.)
Attention All Parents (and Students):
Thanks to our fundraising efforts and some generous
donations, Re-Wa-Ne yearbook has options for
students who cannot afford a full priced yearbook. If
your student is currently on a fee waiver, please
have him/her visit the counselor's office to pick up
an application for a partially sponsored book. With
four hours of verified (Reno HS or Reno area)
community service, recommendations from teachers
at school, and a completed application, students
may purchase a book at a reduced price. We give
seniors priority, but we try to accommodate all
students' requests.
Yearbooks are now on sale at RStore (credit card),
and through the school bookkeeper's office (cash,
check, credit card, money order). Buy early at the
discounted price of $85. Prices return to regular cost
of $95 on October 1.
Need to make payments? Please contact the
bookkeeper to make a $25 down payment and pay
$10 in Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar to have the book
paid off!
