Message from the Centennial College President

Celebrating 50 Years of Helping Students
Centennial College is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Reflecting on the past half century, I am so inspired to see all we have achieved.
From the first day we opened our doors on October 17, 1966, we have been offering the gift of education to those who seek it.
Every year, we celebrate students whose hard work and dedication merit recognition. And every year, we celebrate our donors whose
generosity rewards their drive to succeed.
Congratulations to our scholarship recipients. I am humbled by your passion for learning . Many of you have overcome financial
constraints, personal hardships or academic barriers. You have worked hard to realize your dreams of gaining a college education.
Tonight is also about thanking our donors. By supporting our scholarship and bursaries program, you helped to fund 399 scholarships
worth $430,404 this year. This represents a remarkable 75 per cent increase over 2015 and 100 per cent increase over 2014. Thank you
for believing in our students and Centennial College.
Given the calibre of students receiving awards this year and the incredible backing of our donors, I can confidently say the future of
Centennial is in good hands.
