MSH the universal section

Circular, square and rectangular
hollow sections are used as
modern structural elements in the
most varied fields of engineering.
In building construction, attractive concepts can be realised by
integrating hollow sections into
the facade design. In mechanical
engineering and steel structures,
MSH sections are used for their
favourable behaviour under
pressure and torsional loads or
multi-axial bending stresses.

Usually, the sections are directly

welded together without the need
for joint straps or stiffening plates.
A point worthy of special mention is the excellent and unlimited
weldability of MSH sections, due
to the uniform microstructure
produced by hot forming in the
normalising temperature range.

MSH, the universal structural

element, features
a wide range of dimensions
high loadability
constructional advantages
straightforward fabrication
problem-free corrosion and fire
protection
attractive appearance
technical service

Materials
MSH sections are manufactured
in a wide range of materials
according to national and
international standards.
In view of the main application
areas i.e. load-bearing components in steel construction and
mechanical engineering the
following material has estab-
lished itself as standard grade and
is preferably stocked by dealers:

Quality management
High quality generates customer
confidence and satisfaction and
contributes to a companys economic performance. Quality lead
ership is therefore the overriding
objective and determinant of our
corporate policy.

The Quality Assurance System of

V&M TUBES covers all stages of
production at all plants involved in
the manufacture of V&M Tubes,

from the steelworks via the tube

and pipe hot rolling mills right
through to the companys finishing
lines and shipping departments. The
quality departments at the individual plants operate independently of
the production departments. Their
highly qualified testing personnel is
bound to the V&M Quality Assurance Procedures laid down in the
companys Quality Management
Manual.
V&M TUBES holds approvals
from major national and inter
national official authorities,
customers and third-party organ
izations. This includes the certifi
cation according to ISO 9001 of
all V&M plants.
