EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The title of the project is A STUDY ON AWARENESS ABOUT SOIL
TESTING IN FARMERS AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION TOWARDS
FERTILIZATION PRODUCTS WITH SPECIFIC REFERENCE TO
RCF.This topic Ichosen because through this topic I can do the marketing job plus I can help
the farmers to increase their economy by increasing their productivity. In this topic there are
many things which are new for me such as soil testing, different grades of fertilizers,crop
cultivation practices, mentality of farmers etc about which I didnt know anything. Through this
topic I come to know this concepts thats why I selected this topic.
The companys Objectives are to help farmer to increase their productivity and also
spread awareness about modern technique. To achieve that objective company organises soil
testing program, farmers meetings,farmers training programmes,krishimelas, crop seminars, crop
demonstrations, field visits, rural sports etc. in a year. Now in this year company organised soil
testing program, farmers meetingsat different villages of Kalamb block of Osmanabad districtfor
me to achieve their objective and also to help me to complete my project. Company expected

from me that I should do a survey about RCF products, calculate the brand awareness, farmers
satisfaction level about RCF productsfind out the gap between assume sale and actual sale. Also
tell farmers about the different product of RCF and guide them about thespecific and effective
useof that product.
The company has organised 7 soil testing programmes and 10 farmer meetingsin different
villages of Kallamtaluka in osmanabad district which is attended by me. In soil testing program
RCF Companys soil testing van checked 30 soil samples on the spot at a time and given report
to farmers. Also taught them that how to read that report. Different problem regarding farming
are also solved through the interaction with farmers. For the soil testing program the sarpanch or
gram sevak, progressive&innovative farmers, subject matter specialist in the field of agriculture
and well know person in the field of agriculture were called to guide the farmers.
Soil provides a reservoir of nutrients required by crops and also therefore for animals but not
necessarily at optimum levels of immediate availability to plants. The purpose of soil analysis is
to assess the adequacy, surplus or deficiency of available nutrients for crop growth and to
monitor change brought about by farming practices. This information is needed for optimum
production, to avoid transferring undesirable levels of some nutrients into the environment and to
ensure a suitable nutrient content in crop products. Farm assurance schemes, buyer's protocols
and codes of practice are increasingly demanding more accurate fertilizer recommendations
which must depend on the nutrient-supplying capacity of the soil. Regular soil analysis, every 23 years, should be undertaken as a vital part of good management practice.
