Relation of biology with other science
Now a day, the term biology is broadly named as "life Science" so as to cover its wide scope. The study of life science
Involves knowledge of other basic science, such as physics and Chemistry. The interrelation of these branches from
wide aspect.
The Physiological activities of the plants and animals are related with the chemical reactions. Bio chemistry is the
branch of
Life science which deals with both biology and the chemistry.
1. All the living organisms have organic and inorganic compounds. These influence the life processes.
2. Energy is transferred in the body in the form organic chemical such as glucose.
3. All the metabolic pathways such as photosynthesis, respiration, metabolism, etc involve chemical changes.
4. The genetic materials such as DNA and RNA are formed by the chemicals.
5. The enzymes, hormones, etc. secreted in animals are exclusively chemicals.
1. Certain life processes, such as ascent of sap, diffusion movement of minerals, etc. are dependent on the physical
phenomenon.
2. Many biological instruments or techniques such as microscope, Chromatography, X-ray diffraction, etc. follow the
physical applications.
