1. What are the mission, vision, goals and objectives of SHS?

Mission: Provide quality basic education that is equitably accessible to all and lay the foundation
for lifelong learning and self-actualization needed for effective citizenship at the local, national
and global millennium.
Vision: Senior High School is grounded on human development achieved through an enhanced
curriculum with socio-economic relevance.
Goals: The goal of the enhanced K to 12 Basic Education Program is to create a functional basic
education system that will produce productive and responsible citizens equipped with the
essential competencies and skills. The program will enhance the basic education system to full
functionality to fulfill the basic learning needs of students.
Objectives:
The economy will experience accelerated growth in the long run.
The Philippine education system will be at par with international standards.
A better educated society provides a sound foundation for long-term socio-economic
development.
To give every student an opportunity to receive quality education based on an enhanced
and decongested curriculum.
To change public perception that high school education is just a preparation for college;
rather than, it should allow one to take advantage of opportunities for gainful career or
employment and/or self - employment in a rapidly changing and increasingly globalized
environment.

The Senior High School Core Curriculum Subjects under STEM are Oral Communication,
Reading and Writing, Komunikasyon at Pananaliksik sa Wika at Kulturang Filipino, Pagbasa at
Pagsusuri ng Ibat Ibang Teksto Tungo sa Pananaliksik, 21st Century Literature from the
Philippines and the World, Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions, Media and Information
Literacy, General Mathematics, Statistics and Probability, Earth and Life Science, Physical
Science, Introduction to Philosophy of the Human Person, Physical Education and Health,
Personal Development, Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics, Earth Science and Disaster
Readiness and Risk Reduction. These subjects can help the SHS graduates possess skills and
competencies like responsibility, decision making, problem solving, oral communication, writing,
mathematical reasoning, self-management, safety focus and many more.
