for a grant from the International Development Association toward the cost
of Irrigation Restoration and Development Project, and it intends to apply part
of the proceeds of this grant to payments for hiring the services of following
qualified national individual consultants.

Required Qualification and Experience

At least Bachelors Degree in Commerce/Management/Business
Administration/Civil (or Irrigation) Engineering from a
recognized University or a recognized equivalent qualification.
Proficiency in MS Office software (particularly MS Word, MS
Excel and MS Outlook).
Working knowledge of World Bank procurement procedures.
Good Working knowledge of English Language to comfortably
work with Standard procurement documents of World Bank.
At least 3 years experience in procurement/contract
management/construction out of which experience of at least 1
year should be in the procurement for a World Bank funded
project.

Degree in Environment/ Social Sciences and/ Agriculture

/or related areas with a focus on water management

At least three years working experience and solid

understanding of participatory and Community-Driven
Development approaches;

Technical and analytical skills and a focus on results;

Proven ability to work in teams;

Strong written and verbal communication skills with

demonstrated ability of making effective presentations to diverse
audiences;

Hard working, initiative taking, able to handle multiple

tasks;

English language skills required and working knowledge

of both Dari and Pashto

The Project Coordination Unit (PCU) of Project: Irrigation Restoration and Development Project
(IRDP) under Ministry of Energy and water now invites National eligible consultants to indicate
their interest. Interested eligible candidates must provide information indicating
that they are qualified to perform the services and are invited to submit their
CV (Curriculum Vitae), including employment records, description of similar
assignments carried out, experience in similar conditions, availability of
appropriate skills etc.
The covering application letter should indicate that he meets all the required qualifications and
experience (as mentioned above) quoting references to various paragraphs of CV to
demonstrate this.
A consultant will be selected in accordance with Section V Selection of Individual Consultants
procedures set out in the World Banks Guidelines: Selection and Employment of Consultants by
World Bank Borrowers (May 2004 as revised in October 2006 and May 2010).
