To,
Ms Lalitha Kumarmangalam,
Chairperson,
National Commission for Women,

Dear madam,
Received your letter dated 5th September 2016. This letter is in the context of my column
to which you have taken a strong objection and you seem to be very disturbed with the
content of the column which was published on a very prestigious website - NDTV.com.
Madam I know that no case can be made out against me still if you want to hang me, hang
me. But let me bring it your notice that a far serious allegation which needed a similar
attention and urgency from the NCW under your leadership.
I hereby want to bring to your notice the fact that Mr Narendra Modi, the prime minister of
India is married but it has been alleged that he was harassing a woman half his age when
he was the chief minister of Gujarat. This woman isan architect and belonged to Bengaluru.
IAS officer Pradeep Sharma happened to know of this matter and due to this reason he was
later victimised by Modi. He was not only suspended but also arrested later.
Mr. Sharma in an affidavit to the Supreme Court has submitted the entire detail of this
matter which was widely reported by the media. The media has reported, “He (Sharma)
had complete knowledge of the intimacy that Modi and the woman, originally from Bhuj in
Gujarat, shared... the officer stated that he introduced Modi to the woman in 2004 ... During
the inaugural function of a beautification project."
In 2013, two news portals, Cobrapost.com and Gulail held a press conference in Delhi and
made public audio tapes. It was claimed by two very eminent journalists with impeccable
records that the CBI was in possession of audio tapes in which allegedly the present BJP
president Amit Shah was heard monitoring the surveillance of this woman. Three
government agencies were involved - the Gujarat police, the anti terrorist squad and the
Jocal intelligence wing of the state, in this entire operation which was the blatant misuse of
‘the state apparatus without any legal authentication.
In the audio tape which is in the public domain, it could be clearly heard that allegedly Amit
Shah was keeping an eye on the minutest details about the woman's movement and her
friend; he was getting information about the woman every minute, It could also be heard
on tape that Mr Amit Shah was planning to send her male friend to jail. In the audio tapes it
is clearly heard that he was doing this under the instructions of one "Saheb" who is alleged
to be none other than Mr. Modi.
Once the audio tape surfaced, a mysterious letter was distributed in the New Delhi BJP
headquarters, it was claimed to be written by the father of the woman mentioned in the
tape, that the woman's family had requested the then Modi Government to provide security
to the woman. The authenticity of the letter was never proved and nobody believed the
reason for the demand for security.
Madam, every detail i have given above is in public domain and I am attaching the affidavit
of Pradeep Sharma and also the audio clip (in a USB) of the snooping tapes as annexure.
Dear madam, it is a very serious matter. A woman was harassed by men occupying
constitutional positions; if it goes without being investigated and persons being
unpunished, if found guilty, then the women of the country will lose faith in the NCW in
particular and the justice system in general.
‘The demand of justice is that NCW under your august leadership should take cognizance of
this matter seriously; send notices to both - Mr. Modi and Mr. Amit Shah; summon them to
the NCW office for an explanation and further investigation just as you have sent a notice to
me for writing a column in ae prestigious website - NDTV.com.
Thope my complaint will be taken with utmost urgency by you. itis already rather late.
Thanks and regards,
ASHUTOSH
