1.Geting SRS from Alberto..

a)just check the mail regarding the NEW SRS or SR(old process), if you f
ind the servers are not ready for OS load, check the CDE and comment to get
the updates from other teams like HP,NI,IP adressing on the SRS.
b)You will get the mail from Alberto regading the pre-build activities a
re completed now ready for OS load. have to check the basic connectivity check a
nd follow the build doc
according to the OS.
a)check for connectivity..if you face any problem call NI and DCF depend
s upon the situation.
2.if you find this SR has SAN, then need to install VXVM and Power path. if it i
s clustered server must get the licence for veritas storage foundation suite 5.0
HA. for this
we have to fill the OEM form and send to below people.

3.After the licence recived..start confiuring the WAN boot(solaris) or NIM(AIX)d
epends on the OS. After the completetion of OS load, do the post build(doc in po
ol 30-team room).
4.send Milestone mail to the following peoples.

5.put the WWN in the SRS comment and also run the grab script and upload the fil

7.After the the remediation doc from EMC need to check and must PASS every field
in the doc, if you find some thing Failed have to fix and redo the grab and upl
oad in ftp site.
8.once SAN is allocated do the configuration and lable the disk.
9.Check the CDE weather it has any application installation then get the instruc
tions from the PM or from the Application team.

10.Do Pre-QA and send the check list to the QA person and wait till he completes
.
11.mark the CMDB active the CMDB SRS and turnover the server. for the need to se
nd the turnover mail.
12.finally you have to send the turned over mail to the following people.
