------------------------VI. TROUBLESHOOTING
------------------------THQ thoroughly tests its games on a variety of systems before they are
released, but it is virtually impossible to test on all combinations
of software and hardware. Many of the issues you may encounter are
caused by device drivers for video cards, sound cards and DVD-ROM
drives that are not fully compatible with the Windows operating system

and/or DirectX. The following troubleshooting tips are intended to

assist you in solving some of the common issues you might experience
in relation to the game.
---------DirectX 9.0c for Windows--------For those unfamiliar with DirectX, it is an API (Application
Programming Interface) set that increases the functionality and speed
at which games play under the Windows operating system. These API's
allow direct access to the enhanced features of hardware under
Windows. With DirectX, a program has instant access to the hardware,
allowing for great advances in graphics, sound, video, 3D and network
capabilities of games.
If you have other Windows games on your computer, chances are you
already have an earlier version of DirectX installed. In this case,
it is recommended to install Microsoft DirectX 9.0c.
This should not affect any games using previous versions of DirectX.
Should you encounter problems with DirectX, go to
http://www.microsoft.com/directx/
for additional information.
----- Installation and launch Problems on the Macintosh ----The latest MacOS update is required to play 'DisneyPixar UP' on the Macintosh. If
you are using an old version of Mac OS, you might have problems installing or l
aunching the game. MacOS 10.4 users should upgrade to 10.5.

HQ products, please feel free to contact our customer support department. If you

2. Exact error message reported (if any) and a brief description of
the problem.

4. Video and sound card makes and models (e.g. nVidia GeForce2 video,
Sound Blaster Live sound).

-------------------------------------------VII. KNOWN ISSUES

-------------------------------------------PC SPECIFIC KNOWN ISSUES
- After having installed DirectX 9.0c, please make sure to reboot your system to
run the game successfully.
- If the directory path is more than 100 characters in length, the game may cras
h.
MAC SPECIFIC KNOWN ISSUES
- The game loses all functionality when a game-pad is disconnected during gamepl
ay.
- The screen saver appears when using a game pad and playing in windowed mode.
PC/MAC KNOWN ISSUES
- We strongly recommend to use a game-pad for player 2 on laptops which do not h
ave num-pad.
- It is strongly recommended to use at least one game-pad during a two player ga
me. Some levels may prove difficult to complete when two players are using a key
board. In order to avoid keyboard issues players have the possibility to change
the control configuration in the game. Assigning either ALT, SHIFT or CTRL key t
o the contextual action will prevent players from being unable to perform some m
oves together.
- On laptops the default control configuration for the second player will need t
o be changed, when no num-pad exists.
