About TEQIP

Significance of National Conference

Pharmaceutical research and development is a
lengthy, complex, entrenched with a high degree
of uncertainty that a drug will actually succeed
even after many resources have been
invested. Multiple challenges impact the drug
development pipeline, originating with the lack
of understanding in improving therapeutic
development.
As emerging companies are breaking through
barriers and scaling for success, this conference
aims to empower attendee with current learning
and new perspectives in a stimulating
environment that encourages collaboration and
fosters key connections that will help propel
breakthrough companies and inspire future
discovery. Regulatory bodies continue to amend
and construct new procedures for approving
pharmaceutical products and managing quality
compliance. At the same time, how do they
affect the path new products must go through for
first launch and how are strengthened quality
requirements affecting operations etc., such
considerations seem to be more and more
critical. In addition, there exist so many
challenges to be faced during the development of
a new drug. During the conference, experienced
professionals will share their perspectives as to
where the critical things could be handled.
Therefore, the conference on Innovation and
Future Directions in Pharmaceutical Product and
Process Development explores the attendee to
provide
opportunities
to
update
their
instructional strategies, exchange new ideas and
application experiences, to establish business or
research relations and to find global partners in
setting the stage for future success.

Technical
Education
Quality
Improvement Programme (TEQIP) aims to
upscale and support ongoing efforts of GOI
to improve quality of technical education and
enhance existing capacities of the institutions
to become dynamic, demand driven, quality
conscious, efficient and forward looking,
responsive to rapid economic and
technological developments occurring both at
national and international levels.
Objectives
The National Conference will touch upon
aspects of the research progress in the
Pharmaceutical fields of

Promoting research co-operation and

bridging the scientific and technological
differences existing among various field of
researchers.
Offers platform for present and the recent
additions in understanding the current
requirements of the global pharmaceutical
industry.
To get expertise in the development and
scale-up of chemical and related processes.
To devise strategies to address the lack of
innovative new products being developed
and approved.

The topics of the conference will cover the

various issues:
1. Challenges in developing Pharmaceuticals
2. Understanding
FDA
Regulatory
Requirements for Investigational New Drug
Applications
3. Scale up of Pharmaceutical process: from
