However, the following criteria will be followed in case of Chess and Tennis
for
admission
under
sports
quota:
For Chess, applicant having the FIDE rating 1700 and above with the
criteria specified above is eligible to apply for admission under the sports
quota.
For Tennis, applicant having the AITA ranking up to 300 for under 18 years
boys/girls or ranking up to 500 for open (Men/Women) category is eligible
to apply for admission under the sports quota. The rating/ranking for chess
& tennis on the day/week of publication of advertisement for admission
under sports quota is applicable.

SC/ST CATEGORY
As per circular Nos. BC-16014/1/82-SC dt.06/08/1984 & BCD-1, D.O.12017/11/89SCD(R.CELL) dt.09/01/1990 and letter No.1510-SCW dt.31/05/2007 from the Government
of West Bengal, Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes of the States other than West Bengal
are not entitled to get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West
Bengal. Such students may get the benefit of reserve quota if they have domicile
certificate of 10 years residency in West Bengal.
OBC-A/OBC-B CATEGORY
The candidates who will be provisionally selected under the OBC- A and OBC- B
categories must produce an OBC certificate (the date of issue of the certificate
should not be earlier than June 2015 ) issued by the competent authority that
clearly indicates (i) the category (A or B) they belong to; (ii) that they do not
belong to creamy layer of the society, at the time of counselling/ admission.
OBC-A and OBC-B candidates from the States other than West Bengal are not entitled to
get the benefit of reserved quota in Educational Institutions in West Bengal. Such
students may get the benefit of reserve quota if they have domicile certificate of 10 years
residency in West Bengal.
A student who has obtained the Master Degree in any subject from any
University in Indian is not eligible for admission to the Master Degree course of this
University.
The candidate will need to take a print out of the complete application form and
admit card for each subjects following all necessary instructions. No candidate will be
allowed to enter in the examination hall without admit card.
The employed candidate will need to take a printout of the duly completed
application form and Proforma-A (for school teachers only) or Proforma-B (for employed
candidate other than school teachers), as applicable, in support of their employment.
Filled-in proforma along with application form and photocopy of online payment receipt
(duly authenticated by the bank) shall be submitted to the office of the Dean &
Secretary, Faculty of Science within July 28, 2016 otherwise the application will be
rejected.

(f) Original and attested copies of Admit Card/Certificate of Secondary or
equivalent Examination for verification of age.
(g) SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B Certificate in the name of the candidate, P.D.
