Objective of research
The objective of this article is to have a detailed study on various archaeological
research done on rich heritage and glorious traditions of tamilnadu with its classical
inscriptions,monuments,art,sculpture and excavation at historical sites. Its activities
were expanded to refer Epigraphy.
Sample or Focus of study
Our focus of study includes Research books published on Indus valley and
Mohenjo-daro , The 18 Historical Stone Carvings of South India by Sewell and
Mackenzie and The Collection of Letters of Harappan Writing by Iravadham
Mahadevan .
Approaches of Research
The area of research itself indicates this as one of the Qualitative approach.
It involves extensive narrative data in order to gains insights into phenomena . It is
driven by curiosity or interest in a subject with Extensive archaeology review.
Process of Research
The researcher who undertakes this research is going to read and analyse
the books related to historical excavations of several sites and Inscriptions found
on caves and pottery as another source .
Use of Research
At the end of this work, many evidences for the understanding of ancient
tamil history may be dragged. There is a idea for the researcher to give many
referential data in the appendix which will be very helpful for the researchers of
tamil and its traditions.
