1. What kind of environment pollutant (chemicals) are now serious issues in

Malaysia?
Water pollution
- A very serious pollution that is affecting Malaysia. There are various
cause that made water pollution very bad. One main cause is the vast
usage of pesticide and chemical fertilizer in agriculture. Besides that,
improper disposal of chemical waste from industries and also organic
waste from animal farms to water bodies also contribute to water
pollution.
Air pollution
-

This pollution affects Malaysia very badly but is seasonal. The Carbon
emission from exhaust pipes of vehicles and industrial activities makes
air quality bad. Besides that, haze transmitted through the burning of
forests and garbage also decrease the air quality.

Land pollution
-

Besides polluting water bodies, the use of pesticides and chemical

fertilizers in agriculture leads to the increase in soil acidity which
pollutes the land. Besides that, they also cause the land to be nutrient
deficient which makes it hard for plants to grow and making the land
practically unusable.

2. Is bioremediation process appropriate way to solve this problem? How?

Yes because bioremediation involves the utilization of organisms to
neutralize pollutants over the contaminated area. Besides that, the
treatment occurs naturally which lets the involved organism break down
hazardous substances into less toxic or purify them which is biologically
safe for other organisms.
