VISITORS PERSEPTION OF PANGANDARAN NATURAL PLEDGE

STATUS AT WEST JAVA

ABSTRACT
Perception is a sensory process, stimulus that accepted by individual
through sensory devices then interpreted until individual can give opinion,
understand and can construe about stimulus that accepted. Natural Pledge is
natural sanctuary area that because of natural condition, have special flora, fauna
and ecosystem or protected ecosystem that develop with nature. The activity in
natural pledge area extremely limited, activities that can cause change of natural
pledge wholeness is not allowed. The visitors existence in Pangandaran Natural
Pledge area are illegal.
This research has a purpose of knowing the characteristics, knowledge and
perception visitors of Pangandaran natural pledge status. Data has taken on March
2016, with 100 respondents. Located at Pangandaran Natural Pledge area with
valid petition. Descriptive statistics analysis is used by qualitative data with
Linkerts scale for data analysis.
Result shows that tourist that visits dominated by woman student/under
graduated around 15-24 years old, furthermore visitors knowledge about
Pangandaran natural pledge is still minim because 78% visitors dont know about
function and utilization of that natural pledge, then visitors perception of
Pangandaran natural pledge status is adequate with 3,29 score because of that
minim knowledge and on behalf of just a tour.
