led by PAS (formerly known as Planning Aid Scotland) who ran a series of workshops and community consultations, presented as Shaping Laurencekirk, on behalf Laurencekirk Development Trust to produce communityled proposals for Laurencekirk. The workshops and consultations, held in the early part of 2016 March-May, were concerned with Land to the north east of the village, with particular focus on Old Academy site; but set within the context of whole town discussion. The workshops, Aspirations for Laurencekirk, wanted to find out peoples aspirations for the future of the town as a whole with a view to producing a community vision statement, and included residents, businesses, community groups and Aberdeenshire Council. The output from Shaping Laurencekirk was an adaptable masterplan for the Old Academy Site and the wider village.
