The following is a simple guide that I have developed for study and training to help you share your faith, and
used for years in my own witness of what Christ did for me.

THE TRUTH
I. All Men are Sinners, in Need of Salvation (REFER TO GENESIS 3 FOR FALL OF MAN)
A. Romans 3:23 - man is a sinner
B. Romans 5:12 - all have sinned, for which the due penalty is death.
C. Ecclesiastes 7:20 - no just man
D. John 3:18 - we are condemned because of our sin.
E. Ephesians 2:12 - we are without hope without Gods intervention
F. James 2:10 - when we sin, we become guilty sinners wholly guilty and condemned

II. The Penalty for Sin

A. Romans 6:23(a) - the just penalty for sin is death (ref. 5:12)
B. Revelation 20:15 - if your name isnt in The Book of Life you will be cast into Hell

III. We Cannot Save Ourselves

A. Ephesians 2:8-9 - salvation must be received as a free gift without the price of works
B. Acts 4:12 - there is only one name by which you might be saved.
C. I Timothy 2:15 - only Jesus can go to God for us, and be our mediator
D. John 14:6 - there is only one way to God, through Jesus Christ (this verse is the crucible)
E. I Timothy 1:13 - much of our religion is ignorance/unbelief for which we need mercy

IV. We Must Realize Gods Love for Each of Us (John 15:13)

A. Romans 5:8 - in our sin, our Creator ultimately sacrificed for us

B. John 3:16 - we were so loved that the ultimate gift was given

V. Salvation is a Free Gift from God, to Be Received Only by Faith

A. John 3:16 - the greatest gift ever offered
B.. Romans 3:26(b) - the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ
C. John 5:24 - heareth my word, and believeth . . . hath everlasting life. *Security

THE APPEAL
I.

Our own salvation experience - witnessing is giving your own testimony of events

II.

Bible Prescription: Romans 10:8-10, 13

A.

Confess = agree with God about myself and my Sin

B.

Agree with God about Jesus death, burial and resurrection

"Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance
toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ." (Acts 20:21)

C.

*Be saved now
