Officers were dispatched to 2234 N. Seventh Ave referencing a battery that


occurred. Officers arrived to Cedar Trace Apartments and met with the victim,
who informed officers a black male "shoved" her in the face in the parking lot
before fleeing north. The victim had a laceration to the right side of her face, as
well as an abrasion on her right cheek and a scraped left knee. Officers discovered
the other female on scene, IO, was with the suspect when the incident occurred.
The IO provided officers with the suspect`s identity, as well as a physical
description of the suspect.
The victim refused medical treatment. The victim was also provided with a case
number referencing this report. The IO and the listed suspect were barred/banned
from Cedar Trace Apartments.

and paid for the items needed with cash. They left and the OF went back into the
store and got a refund. The items were to be sent on Friday, when they didn`t show
up Mr & Mrs Murray called the OF and he said his mother had passed away and

Officers were working off-duty at Shannon Glen Apt.`s. Officer Pierce noticed
three black males in the laundry room in the area of apartment #350. All three
males saw Officer Pierce and ran. Officer Pierce, identified himself, and gave
several commands for the three b/m`s to stop. They refused to stop. Two of the
males were apprehended and arrested on several charges.

males took off running from officer Pierce. Two of the males were caught at the
intersection of Tippecanoe and Tyler. While placing suspect into the booking cell
officer Pierce located counterfeit money hidden in suspect`s left sock. The
counterfeit money was placed into evidence locker at EPD headquarters. Suspect
advised he was unsure of who gave him the money.

any surveillance video from any of the surrounding buildings in that area. Victim

convention for theft shoplifting.

The victim was walking North on First Avenue to the Circle K. A white dodge
Durango passed him and someone in the vehicle yelled obscenities at him. He
yelled back.
the Durango circled around and came back. The suspect jumped out and punched
the victim in the face. They then began fighting. A bystander and another occupant
of the Durango separated them. The suspect got back in the Durango and it drove
away West on Buena Vista.
The victim had a bloody nose and lip. His prescription glasses were broken as
well.
The victim refused any medical treatment.
Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspect vehicle.

We were dispatched to Kangaroo Express, 1650 S Kentucky Ave, in reference to a
theft report. Upon arrival, I spoke to clerk who stated a black male wearing white
shirt and white shorts came into the store. She recognized the suspect as a
frequent person who has come in shoplifting before. The suspect brought up two
cases of Starburst and set them on the counter. He said something about the price.
Suspect then picked the cases back up from the counter and left the store. The
victim gave chase and started to yell at the suspect. When she got outside of the
store, the suspect hit her across the face and pushed her down. He then fled the
scene on a bicycle. I observed that the victims left cheek was red and she had
minor lacerations on her hands from falling on the ground.

I found the female by the side of Greenriver Rd south of 69. She was scraped and
bruised all over and it appeared there was a seat belt burn/bruise on the right chest
area. She had a mouth injury and could not or would not give me much
information. She said that P W was driving her 2016 White Ford Fusion
and wrecked it. She says he pushed her out of the car and left with it. I have not
been able to locate the vehicle. The area of Indian Bend was checked as well as the
river bottoms south of 69 between Lynn and Greenriver
She was transported to St Mary hospital via AMR 1538 complaining of stomach
pain. She says she had "2 shots" of alcohol tonight.
A BOL was issued with all the information we were able to glean.
The P W subject TX was found in the female vehicle owners phone. It
was called and he answered the first time. It sounded as if he were walking. He
disconnected and turned the phone off and I was not able to make any further
contact.

Officers were dispatched to the above address in reference to a Theft in


Progress. On scene, I spoke with J. Evans (Victim # 2) and Inau Ortiz-Morales
(Victim # 3). Both Evans and Ortiz-Morales work at the McDonalds at the above
address. Evans stated that Ortiz-Morales was outside the store sweeping up the
lot. Evans stated when Ortiz-Morales returned inside the store a black male
wearing a black hoodie, shorts and sunglasses pointed a "9-mm handgun" at his
head and told him to open the safe.
Evans stated he was unsuccessful in opening the safe after several attempts and
the suspect took approximately sixty dollars in one dollar bills from several
register drawers then fled around the back (south side) of the store. K-9 Officer
Henderson and his partner were able to track to the area of Lic`s Ice Cream, but
the track ended there.
Evans stated that video would be available, but the store owner would have to
provide it. Evans was interviewed by the responding detective and crime scene
arrived and processed the scene. Evans was given the case #.

I was dispatched to the METS transfer station in reference to a theft report. The
reporter, Payne, works for the victim, RC Cola. Payne was filling the vending
machines at the bus station and collecting money from those machines. Payne
stated when he was putting the money from those machines in the steel box in his
truck, he noticed two bags of money that he had already gathered from previous
stops missing. Payne described them as white bags filled with coins. Crime Scene
was called. There is no suspect or witness information.

HUDDLESTON, S.

Blake working for RC Cola is in charge of the repair shop located at 2308 S
Kentucky. Just outside the gate of the storage yard there were cooling motors and
compressors sitting on wooden skids. On the night of 09-13 it shows on
surveillance video a white shirtless male coming up on a bicycle and cutting the
evaporators and stacking them. The white male leaves on the bike and returns in a
four door early 90s two wheel drive s-10 blazer and loaded the evaporators in the
back and then drove off.

from a vehicle pulling out of the alley just south of 5th 3rd Bank. Victim did not
have any suspect info. Victim was given the case number to the report.

The victim seemed to be very confused in attempting to explain when and how
these items were discovered missing. He states that the storage unit (Building
Q/number 13) that the items were stored in were discovered missing sometime in
the last 30 days then decided that it was since 09-12-2016 at 1901 hours. He
further states that the two locks that were on the unit had not been tampered with
or damaged and were locked upon his arrival today. The unit had no signs of a
breach as well. The victim also states that there are no additional keys to the unit
and nobody else has access to it either. The victim reports that the items listed on
this report are the only items discovered missing when he opened the unit on one
of the days this week. The victim was unable to provide an exact date or time
when the items were discovered missing. There were no visible signs of forced
entry to the storage unit. There was no contact for the storage facility available at
this time to determine if the video surveillance captured any useful evidence. This
storage area is fenced and requires a key code to enter the gate. End

The reporter stated that he watched the suspect as she took eye liner out of the
package in the purse isle. He then watched her as she took eye liner out of a
second package in the men`s underwear isle. He approached her at the general
merchandise exit when she did not pay for the items. She kept calling the reporter
racist names and refused to stop. The suspect threw one eye liner container in the
trash outside the grocery entrance and then left eastbound on foot from the store.
The female was with her mother who stated that it was her daughter`s problem and
that she was 21 or 22 years old. Her mother did not give her name. One item was
valued at $7.94 and the other at $8.97.

males were apprehended and arrested on several charges.

then took off. A witness also stopped and stated the female suspect almost ran into

On 09/16/2016 at approximately 1945 hours, officers were dispatched to 1014


Mary St. apt. 8 in reference to a battery report. Upon arrival, officers spoke with
victim, Gregory Clark, who stated that at on 09/14/2016 at approximately 1530
hours he was attacked in the alley behind 805 Royal St. Clark stated that he was
attempting to collect 2 fishing poles he located on the ground. Clark stated that as
he was doing so, a white male struck him with a wooden plank, which caused him
to hit the ground. Clark stated that once he was on the ground, the male offender
kicked him three times in the ribs. Clark stated that the male never said anything to
him, just attacked him. Clark stated that he felt severe pain from the incident.
Clark stated the he went to St. Mary`s hospital on 09/15/2016 due to the pain he
was in, caused by the injury. Clark stated that he suffered broken ribs and a chest
contusion per the results from his x-rays. Clark stated that he did not report the
crime the day of, because he suffers from anxiety and was overwhelmed by the
incident.
Clark described the offender as a white male, muscular build, weighing
approximately 200 to 225 pounds, approximately 6 feet to 6 feet, 3 inches tall,
with brown hair, possibly wearing a white t-shirt with shorts.

officers spoke with victim, James Kessler, who stated that his motorcycle was
struck by another vehicle. Kessler stated that he was informed of the incident by
his neighbor and witness, Randy Mercer.
Officers spoke with witness Randy Mercer of 9 W. Missouri, who stated that he
heard a crash from inside of his residence. Mercer stated that he looked out of his
window and observed an older model, short body SUV. Mercer stated that the
vehicle fled west bound on Missouri St. and then north bound on Baker St. Mercer
stated that he was unable to get a plate on the vehicle.
Kessler`s vehicle suffered minor left front damage, right side mirror damage, and
minor right rear damage.

Tonight the victim and witness were at home. The victim saw the suspect pull up
and get out of an older Blk Cadillac Deville. He went to the back of the house to
get the witness. As they walked to the front door an object, later determined to be a
car jack came crashing through the front window of the residence. They opened
the front door and the suspect was running to her vehicle and getting in. The
vehicle then drove away south on Edgar.
The victim was advised to follow up with the Prosecutor to pursue charges.
The large window, both top and bottom in the front of house with double panes
and insulated glass were broken out

occurred. Officers arrived and spoke with the victim. The victim informed officers
she had returned to her apartment alone earlier in the evening. The victim informed
officers she fell asleep with her front door unlocked. The victim said a short time
later, she woke up and observed the suspect "going through her purse." The
suspect, who the victim said she recognized, then exited her apartment and
traveled north on Third Avenue in a "gray or silver impala." The victim informed
officers she had "about $550" missing from her purse. The victim said nothing else
appeared to be missing from her purse or apartment. Officers provided the victim
with a case number in reference to this occurrence.
