containsliquidWatroomtemperatureandthecontainerlabelledPcontainshot(heated)liquid
W.Thethirdcontainer,alsoprovidedandlabelledL,containscoldwater.

PROCEDURE:
(a)
(i)

Usingthemeasuringcylinderprovided,take200cc.ofliquidWfromthe
containerlabelledK,pouritintoanemptybeakerprovidedandmeasureits
temperature.

(ii)

Take250cc.ofthecoldwaterprovidedinthecontainerlabelledLandmeasure
itstemperature.

(iii)

Thenpourthecoldwater(in(ii))intothebeakerthatalreadycontains200ccof
liquidW(in(i)).

(iv)

Usingthewoodenstirrerprovided,stirupthemixture(in(iii))thoroughlyand
thenquicklymeasureandrecordthetemperatureofthemixture.

(b)

Repeattheproceduregivenabove(in(a)(i)(iv))BUTthistimetake200ccofliquidW
fromthecontainerlabelledPinsteadofthecontainerlabelledK.
