NATURE OF THE ACTIVITY

Wherever I lay my hat is a great introductory exercise


that can be used with both small and large groups.
Question cards are placed in a hat and group
members take it in turn to take a question, read it out
and give their answer.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY


1. This activity is a simple but effective ice breaker for
patients to tell something about themselves.
2. This can be used to open a workshop and is
guaranteed to get people talking.
RATIONALE
-This activity will not only help us gain knowledge
about our patients but let their other mates know more
about them as well. Through this, we will also create a
bond with the participants that will be easier for us to
build rapport.

TRUST WALK
ACTIVITY DETAILS

20 participants (10 pairs)

NATURE OF THE ACTIVITY

Trust walk will be one of the activities of the group


wherein the participants will be working in pairs.
Blindfolded participants are led on a walk around the
surrounding area or a course by their partners.
Blindfolds/ handkerchief is the only material needed.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY


1. This activity aims to unite all the patients whatever
their situation or position is.
2. This activity intends to build camaraderie among
the participants.
3. This also aims to advocate the brotherhood as
each and every one is encouraged to help one
another.
RATIONALE
- This is a great activity for focusing on communication
skills, creative thinking and developing trust. Through
this, we will also create a bond with the participants
that will be easier for us to build rapport.

HUMAN KNOT
ACTIVITY DETAILS

8-12 ideally.

NATURE OF THE ACTIVITY

Human knot will be one of the activities of the group


wherein the participants will be asked to group
themselves and form a circle. The participants should
participants connect hands with two others people in
the group to form the human knot. As a team they
must then try to unravel the human knot by
untangling themselves without breaking the chain of
hands.

OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY


1. This activity aims to unite all the patients whatever
their situation or position is.
2. This activity intends to build camaraderie among
the participants.
3. This also aims to advocate the brotherhood as
each and every one is encouraged to help one
another.

- This is a great activity for building leadership,
cooperation, and time management. Through this, we
will also create a bond with the participants that will be
easier for us to build rapport.
