Enriching Activities
Create a scenario where any of the above interactions occur in the school. Make a
script of their dialogue, bearing in mind that this partnership is built on developing a
climate of respect, harmony and cooperation.

Your
Analysis

My Script
Situation: (A student is going into the school)
(On the gate)

Why is a
classroom a
miniature of
a greater
society?

Student: Good morning sir!

Guard: Good morning, have a nice day!
(On the hallway couple of teachers are approaching)
Student: Good morning teachers!
Teachers: Good morning!(While smiling)
(On the classroom)
Student: Good morning classmates!
Classmates: Good morning!
Classmate: Good morning, kindly help us clean the room?
Student: Of course, come on lets clean the room.
Classmate: Thanks a lot, great help
(Teachers done in the lesson)
Student: Maam, I dont understand the lesson.
Teacher: Okay, what is it that you dont understand, let me know
(Teachers done clearing the concept to the student)
Student: Aha! Now I get it. Thanks a lot Maam. (inside his mind: Now I can
share these to my classmates who is also having a difficult time understanding
the concept)

Classroom is a miniature of a greater society for the reason that the next doctors,
engineers, lawyers, teachers, and leaders of our society are all inside the four
corners of the classroom building their knowledge, wisdom and skills for the
society ahead. Whatever is happening inside it will reflect eventually on the
society. Students now are leaders tomorrow. Therefore, if we were able to develop
them inside the four corners of the school then we already build a greater society
ahead. The classroom is todays gauge on how great our society will be tomorrow.

What are found in the classrooms that are similar to what can be observed in society?

Leaders. I think this is one of the similarities of the classroom and the bigger
society. We, on a bigger society, democratically choose our leaders and those
leaders are oath to help and serve their dominion. Same as inside the classroom,
they are voting their leaders and those leaders are the one responsible in different
aspects of the classroom like; cleanliness, activities, etc.
However, there are also neglectful leaders in the classroom just like on our society.
Those who failed to do the task they are oath to do. For example, the president of
the class failed to lead the theme project of their room which is expected from him
by the adviser. This reflects those leaders of the society who failed to do their job.
Though, the only difference is that on the bigger society there is an involvement of
money.

Rules and regulation. In the same manner as our laws, rules and regulation inside
the classroom are also expected and required for the students to obey. Otherwise,
they will be punished accordingly. On our society people who do not obey the
laws will be paying ransoms or imprisoned. While on the classroom they are also
punished but not on that extent. They are either going into guidance counselling or
parents will be called. Those are some forms of punishment. Nonetheless, what is
important is even inside the classroom students are being trained to follow rules
and regulations which they can use even outside the school.
