OBSERVATION REPORT:
In seventeen hours duration of my observation I
have discover many things that is necessary for me to
know as a future educator. I have observed that it is the
students nature to be naughty, inattentive, and lazy and
it is because of various reasons. But for me, the main
reason is they are not motivated well by their parents.
They are not monitored by their parents, if they doing
good or misbehaving in school. Parents have a big role in
the development of childs learning because they should
be encouraging their child in doing good things, like
studying well and behaving well.
I have also observe that environment or the
people who are around to a child have a big impact to the
childs behaviour and interest in learning because a child
is doing or imitating what he see from others especially to
the adults around him. And because they are not mature
enough because they are in the transition stage they
cannot distinguish if the thing or behaviour they follow is
good or bad. So I believe that teachers role as a second
parent of the students is very crucial, that they should
monitor the attitude of the student and the teachers
should not only focus on the skills and learning
development but also give time to monitor on the
behaviour of the students that they adopt from their
environment.
I must say that teacher and parents has a big
responsibility in shaping childs behaviour and childs
learning. As a teacher we should always consider the
different skills, attitude, and capabilities of every student
and make appropriate teaching methodologies that best
suits to the child or the student and this would help him
to become a useful person in the community someday.
