Objectives:
Students are expected to:
1. understand the concepts and theories related to political development.
2. understand the orderly development of the state's development over the past
until now.
3. evaluate the relationship between the country and overall development.

Course Learning Outcomes:


At the end of this course, students will be able to:
1. explain the concepts and theories related to politics (C2, A3).
2. describe the relationship between politics and countrys development (C2, A1).
3. explaining about the development in line with the countrys political
development. (C2, C5).

Transferable Skills:
Leadership skills, communication and understanding of the theory and its
application to the political reality and development.

Teaching-learning and assessment strategy:


Mixed method between teacher-centred and student-centred. For the assessment
strategy it is a continuous assessment.

Synopsis:
This course exposes the students to the theories and basic concepts of
development. Through this exposure, students will understand the 'country'
relationship with the development. Additionally, students will learn about the

political developments in Malaysia, from the pre-independence era to the postindependence. Development paradigm agent next will further develop the policy
formulation process and will be discussed emphasising more on the politics
elements, such as the pressures from political parties, the people, the government
and many more. This course features the issues, problems and development
achievements in Malaysia.
