Microsoft Project 2010 Basic

About this course:


This 2-day course is for new users of Project 2010 who want to get started on planning their projects in Project 2010.
Overall, the objective of the course is to make participants feel comfortable with Project 2010. Completion of this course
forms a strong foundation for MCTS Exam 70-178:TS: Microsoft Project 2010, Managing Projects.
Course Overview:
This course teaches the basic commands and features of Microsoft Project 2010. Students will learn how to create and
modify task lists, establish a project schedule, create calendars, assign resources to tasks, track costs, and work with
different views and tables. Students will also apply filters and groups, and sort task and resource data. They will also get
insight on Communicating Project Information through Views and Reports.
Who Should Attend:
The Fundamentals course is for novice users of MS Project who want to get started on planning their projects in MS Project.
There are no pre-requisites as such, and any team member, team leader or project manager can attend this course on
Project 2010, even if you have never used the MS Project application.
Prerequisites:
Students should also have a working knowledge of the following:

Basic project management concepts and terminology.

Basic Windows navigation skills.
