Group Activity
List four countable nouns and four
uncountable nouns in your notebook. (5
minutes)
Form groups of four and arrange
yourselves into a circle. (5 minutes)
Read out a word at random from your list.
The person on your left should use it in a
question with how much or how many.
For example, if your word is water, the
group member to your left should call out
How much water?
Then, the person to the left of that group
member answers with a specific
measurement. For example: 1 litre of
water. Then, she calls out a word from
her list, and the person to her left forms
the correct question.
Continue until all the words in the list are
done. (15 minutes)

Group Activity

15 Minutes

Form groups of six. (2 minutes)

The first student to start should call out one number, for example, three.
The student to his/her left should add one digit to that number and call it out. For
example, seventy-three.
The next student to the left should add one more digit to that number and call it out. For
example, two hundred and seventy-three.
Keep going until you reach a seven-digit number. Note down this number in your
notebooks. Play the game until you have noted down four seven-digit numbers in your
group. (8 minutes)

Class Activity

two teams, A and B.
The teacher will choose one student
from Team A and one student from
Team B.
The student from Team A should write
a large number on the board, for
example, 24,56,389.
If the student from Team B reads it out
correctly, Team B should get 5 points.
Then, another student from Team B
and one from Team A should be
chosen.
This time, the Team B student writes
the number and the Team A student
reads it out.
The first team to reach 50 points wins.
