Use medium-sized brush strokes

to start painting along the edge of your
figure. Repeat Steps 4-6 to switch to a
slightly lighter color.

of your figure, switching to lighter colors as
you go. When youre done painting over the
lower portion of the photo, tap on the layers
icon in the bottom right corner to open the
layers drawer.

Step 1: Open a picture of clouds in the

select the Color Gradient Effect. Tap on the
gear icon to open the Effect settings menu.
Step 3: Choose the color scheme you

like, or create your own by tapping on the
Color1 and Color2 boxes. Use the sliders to
adjust the saturation and fade. Tap on the
check mark to confirm.
Step 4: Save the cloud image that you

just created, and open a picture of a city in
the photo editor.
Step 5: Tap on the Add Photo icon and

select your cloud image.
Step 6: Use the arrow icon in the bottom

right corner to enlarge the added image, and
drag it to place it.

Step 1: Open an action shot in the photo

#FreeToEdit and #Action in the app. Tap on
the Effect icon.

the Motion Blur Effect. Tap on the gear icon
to open the Effect settings tab.
Step 3: Bring the Fade slider down to zero

to increase the intensity of the Effect. At the
top, check the box to the right of the Original
text. This will invert the Effect blurred areas
will become un-blurred, and vice versa. In this
case, the blur will disappear completely.
Step 4: Tap on the gear icon to close the

settings tab.
Step 5: Use your finger or stylus to paint

the Motion Blur Effect onto part of your
image. When youre done, tap on the check
mark to confirm.

Motion Blur
Step 1: Open your image in the photo editor.

You can use one of your own images or find
one you like by searching for #FreeToEdit in

select the Negative Effect.

feature allows you to apply an Effect using
different shapes.
Step 4: Use the square icon in the

bottom right corner of the shape to adjust
the size, and drag the shape to place it on

Step 1: Open your image in the photo

editor (Hint: the Clone Tool works best
on images with simple or patterned
backgrounds). Tap on Tool and select the
Clone Tool.
Step 2:
Tap on the part of your image

that youd like to clone we want to clone
the figure in the image, so we selected the
area just above the head (you can always tap
on the target icon at the top of the screen
to reset your selection). Tap on the circular
icon to open the brush settings menu.
Step 3: Use the sliders to customize

your brush settings. We increased the brush
size and reduced the opacity slightly (the
reduced opacity will make the cloned figure
appear transparent super cool!). Tap on

on the cloned figure (if you make a mistake
you can always tap on the back arrow to
undo it or tap on Erase to switch to the
Eraser Tool).
Step 5: Paint on a third cloned figure (the

opacity will automatically be reduced again).
When youre done, tap on the check mark to

Step 1: Open the picture youd like to

edit in the photo editor. Use one of your
own shots, or find an image you like by
searching for #FreeToEdit in the app. Tap
on the Add Photo icon and select a picture
taken underwater.

Use the slider to reduce the opacity

of your added image. This will make it easier
for you to see where youre placing it.
Step 3: Use the arrows icon in the bottom

right corner of the added image to enlarge it
so that it covers your entire photo.

the parts of the added image that you dont
need in this case, the area that overlaps
with the bed. You can perform a two-finger
pinch to zoom in for a more precise crop.

photo, well need to have more sky in the

on the Add icon and select Photo. Select
the image youd like to work with. You can
use one of your own photos, or find an
image tagged with #FreeToEdit.

right corner of the added image to enlarge it
so that it covers the entire canvas, and drag
it to place it. Tap on the layers icon to open
the layers drawer.
Step 3: At the top of the layers drawer,

tap on the plus sign and select Empty
Layer.
Step 4: At the bottom of the layers

drawer, tap on the Add icon and select
Photo. Select the same image.
Step 5: Use the slider at the bottom of

the layers drawer to reduce the opacity to
about 50% (this will make it easier to align
your added image). Tap on the layers icon to
