EXPERIMENT OUTCOMES:
At the end of the lab session students should be able:

Pneumatic circuits connections correctly.

Understanding the function of the equipment used in the circuit connectivity.
Can ensure that problems occur during circuit connection

THEORY:
A pneumatic press is to be operated by two push buttons PB1 and PB2. In order to meet
safety requirement, both of the push buttons must be pressed together to start the press.
The pneumatic press is retracted immediately when one or both push buttons are released.

EQUIPMENTS:
-

1unit - Double acting cylinder

1 unit - 5/2 DCV single pilot and spring
1 unit - Two pressure valve (AND function)
2 units - 3/2 DCV push button

SAFETY PRECAUTION:
Make sure the equipment is placed in the right situation
Make sure the tube is connected properly
PROCEDURE:
1. Make sure the supply pressure at 4-5 bar

2. Take the components involved and put on the table in practice.

3. Arrange the components in the right place according to the circuit diagram.
4. Make sure the hoses and pneumatic components are in proper condition before
operations.
5. Before opening pressure switch, call a technician / lecturer to check the
connection in the system.
6. Open pressure switch and run the experiment.

RESULT:
As a result of the connection circuit:

Is the circuit is connected correctly?

Are circuit shall have the leak?
Are circuit right function?

CONCLUSIONS:
1. Describe the way the circuit works.
2. What is the function of two pressure valve?
3. State the logic of the AND function
