Please mention the questions and answers discussed in the interview. (At least 10)
Each interviewer will take notes on his laptop as the interview proceeds.
He will first give his introduction and then ask for your introduction.
A:- A brief about school education, bachelor's college (2-3 lines),
Work experience and then internship (more details will be asked by interviewer from here that will decide
further questions)
Guesstimate : Assume you're standing on top of a hill in Kozhikode, what is the number of stars you can see?
Answer : used the field of vision logic
All about my work experience, my family, my internship brief & questions like why MBA & why MBA after core
engineering work experience.
The group was led in the wrong direction with respect to the meanings of the words in the topic and was never
corrected by any one else in the group.
Q1: How did you think the Group Discussion go?
A1: The Group Discussion went well
The interview questions were mainly based on situational analysis (related to Google's product AdWords),
technical (product understanding), understanding of online/offline media and advertising, behavioral fit (team
work, handling conflicts, etc.), HR questions, some guesstimates and puzzles.
All 3 rounds tested understanding on the given areas. There was no standard structure in terms of the 1st
round being technical or 2nd round being HR. Their idea was to evaluate the candidate on all of the criteria by
maximum panelists.
The interview was about the case study competition. Details of the case, my approach, proposed solution etc.
Entry strategy for Snapdeal in Grocery- STP and 4P's
Questions related to mathematics such as what is Fourier Transform, Laplace transform and such other
related to different types of regressions, integrations and statistics.
I answered half of them which I could recollect and for the rest I preferred not to bluff.
Q:-.Why MBA?
Q:-A consumer goods company wants to double its revenue and increase its EBITDA by four times and wants
your help with it. What would you suggest?
To secure an HR job from a campus like ours you need to know your subjects in and out.
If you get stuck at any point, they helped by giving hints, thus, encouraging the candidate.
The overall experience of Amazon's recruitment process gives a lot of learning and prepares you for resumebased questions in other interviews, in case you don't get selected here.
Rigorous process.
I fumbled at the first question but I managed to hold my ground from the second one. The panel was looking
for confidence and the ability to think on one's feet. The questions fired to other interviewees were as random
as possible. But the essence was consistent. They didn't really focus much on grades but, as stated earlier,
consistent confidence and clarity of thought.
They were well organized. The Group Discussion evaluation was also systematic. The groups were decided
beforehand by the company after screening the profiles. The interview was mainly CV based and situation
based so nothing out of the blue was asked .

Their first priority was to test your finance knowledge. And I had a good conversation with the HR team.
Questions were not too technical about the content studied at IIM-K or graduation.
You are given an option of choosing a role of your choice. If you can justify how you are fit for the role, they
all give you the same role.
One on one interviews. You can take time and think if the answer does not strike you immediately.
You will be given ample time to think over the questions and it is easy going. Be relaxed.
The panelists were very relaxed and supportive. Definitely not a typical pressure cooker interview situation.
Logical situation based and case based questions were asked during the interview. Points picked up mainly
from the CV and questions based on those points.
The entire evaluation process is very rigorous as each candidate is evaluated by various panels to minimize
subjectivity.
Systematic process.
I was interviewed directly by the Head of Fashion category which is very good .
It was very transparent, robust and standardized process. The feedback from one round was being passed in
another round and everything which was discussed was noted down by interview panel.
They decide on the role which is best suited for you and if they have made up their mind to take you, you can
negotiate with them on the role.
Ample time to think and answer, interviewers very friendly and give out hints in case you're stuck. Good
answers are appreciated and wrong answers are corrected at each round.
Simple one interview round. Shortlist of candidates was based on the CV relevance to the roles they offered.
Well versed with CV and also what company does. You could probably use them in the case.
Very systematic and they give you feedback at each and every step so that you are aware where you are
headed.
Well Executed.

Role offered wasn't what some people had given a preference for.
Nothing as such. Because there was just one panel, the process lasted for nearly 14 hours.
Since they had shortlisted 16 students for the interview and each interview went on for almost 30 minutes
the wait for the final results was grueling.

You might have problem in communicating through telephonic interviews. So just be patient and ask in case
you do not understand any comments or questions. Make sure there is no silence moments of more than 10
seconds unless you've taken permission from the interviewer.

Only one panel was interviewing three candidates at a time. Students were given puzzles or guesstimates
and were left to think for 10 to 15 minutes then the same person would come back and further continue the
process. The process was not smooth. It could have been more organized.

An interviewer was a six sigma master black belt expert who had immense knowledge on Six Sigma and
QM. Asked few question on Six Sigma implementation tools.
Feedback from/Questions asked to other candidates shortlisted for the interview process
They were expecting our basics to be clear, not very extensive knowledge on six sigma or lean. Also they
expect us to speak confidently and be honest if you are not aware of any topic. Take the written test very
seriously as the cut off will be very high and even one or two mistakes can prove costly.
Candidates who were short-listed for roles like BD and account management were asked guesstimates.
Apart from things discussed above, guesstimates were common for candidates having non-operations
background.

Why Project Management or why Business Analyst?

The process began with an address from the three associates from HSBC who were in campus for the
interviews. There were two roles offered at our campus - Associate Business Analyst & Associate Program
Manager. Hence the panel represented one member from each of the horizontals accompanied by one
senior HR. As they spoke, they highlighted the legacy HSBC carried as a financial services organization and
outlined the attributes (Thinking on your feet) necessary for the roles offered.
The interviews were conducted in two rounds - a Group Discussion followed by a Personal Interview with the
three panel members presiding over each round.

Round 3- HR round
Round 4- Interview
In aptitude test you need to complete 50 questions in 12 minutes. Second round is a Group task where there
will be group discussion on a topic for 20-25 minutes. Third round is an HR round and the Fourth round is a
technical interview
Round 1- Was an aptitude test, 50 questions in 15. This test was a test of your speed and not your aptitude
as the questions were easy. The trick here was to leave those questions, which take more than 5 seconds of
reading.
No of shortlists: 80/170 (approximately)
Round 2- A group activity round. 8 groups of 10 member each were made.
The pattern was - every 2-3 successive group had same topic.
It was not a Group Discussion round but a scenario/situation was given and the group was asked to discuss
upon it and come up to a strategy in consensus to tackle the situation.
The first group's topic was a "HR related- how to call back Snapdeal employees whose leave have been
sanctioned and they have also booked their flights for a vacation because GOSF decided to extend the
discount window.
Our group situation was -" suppose you are stranded on an island after a plane crash- what would be the 7
most important things which you will carry as a group for your survival on that island"
Round 3- HR interview + Guesstimate/ Case interview round.
Was a telephonic interview with the Business Unit head of the line of business they considered me fit for.

Work experience related question about what exactly was the project I had worked for.
There was flowchart which was explained in the presentation about the functioning of Snapdeal. On the
basis of that they asked me to draw the organization design.
Keep your eyes and ears open in the presentation to answer questions like that.
Q:- Tell a situation where you helped your customer in an extra-ordinary manner (asked in 3 rounds). What
were the challenges and how did you overcome them?
A:- Quoted an example from job where worked on better visibility of parameters in field.
In case your work experience didn't involve any direct interaction with customer, then make the department
in your organization that uses the results of your work. But, don't ever say that you never worked for a
customer.
Q:-(Based on my summer internship) What are the methods used for evaluation of sales channel?
A:- Store visits , focus group interviews of salespersons, telephonic interviews with partners and distributors,
customer feedback forms
Guesstimate- Find out the estimate of year 1 sales of a new L'Oreal men's cosmetic
A:- I started by breaking down the population into male-female, then urban rural split & then the generation
split i.e. splitting the whole urban male population into 4 generations & considering some percentages of
each generation as my target audience. then I estimated their consumption as percentages & estimated unit
wise consumption. We argued alot, HR & I, but ultimately, I think my depth & reasoning impressed him even
though my answers were inflated.
Q:-Why Leadership skills? Why do you think they matter in your job?
A:- I tried to highlight the points they had mentioned in their presentation earlier. The ability to think on one's
feet; the ability to take decisions and once again gave examples to support my points.
Q2: Did you get to know of our opinion about the Group Discussion?
A2: Well we know that we the group was misled and even though initiative are rewarded, the group should
not be led in the wrong direction.
Q:- Your client wants to advertise on Facebook rather than on google. How would you convince him to stay?
A:- I talked about the stages in which buying occurs like Awareness, influence and purchase. While
Facebook is just in awareness part, google is present in all the three parts. Awareness through AdWords,
influence through re-targeting, and can monitor the influence of ad on sales through web analytic. Therefore
you get more information through google than through Facebook.
Digital branding, SOS vs. SOV, Situation based questions. Eg. Motorola is planning to launch a mobile
phone, so, which media vehicle will you advertise?
Q:-Why did you come for MBA and has your purpose of coming for MBA been fulfilled?
A:- As I said I believe that in initial phase of career learning is very important. I was in FMCG industry for four
years and I felt that my learning was stagnant.
Asked me about the competitions I had one until that time, I had a PPI from RPG, so he asked me when the
company is visiting the campus.
Told him we are not supposed to tell that. I think he was more interested in knowing whether my PPI process
was over or still pending so I told him, I do not know when the company will be visiting and I am not sure
whether it will be, visiting at all but we will have a VC interview. (Made sure, he knows that my process is still
pending).
Then he asked me what was the case about. Told him that we got 3 different cases for three rounds and
explained the problem statement for each round
Q:- What are the factors that you would consider when you shift an API(Active Pharma Ingredient) plant from
France to India?
-Government procedures(land acquisition, environmental clearances, power, electricity connection)
-Raw material suppliers ( Custom duty if from France else domestic options)
-Labor force ( change in labor charges, low cost in India)
-Customers (To gain their trust)
-Regarding the logistics ( 3PL / 4PL )
Question related to algorithms and their efficiency [As I was IT engineer]. How to measure efficiency, which
is most efficient, efficiency of quick sort, bubble sort.
I answered most of them and again preferred not to bluff where I was not sure.
I worked with BING so in one of my rounds they asked me to explain how a search engine actually works,
The key thing to remember is to avoid using too many technical jargons. Moreover you should be able to
explain it in a lay mans language because the person might not be from the same industry.
Q:-Describe a situation where you faced a difficulty and how did you overcome it.
Q:- What are the parameters used for evaluation of sales channel?
A:- Transaction cost analysis, Product technology life cycle, Partner network.
Q:- Why the switch of roles from being an Electrical Engineer to working as a Software Engineer and finally in
a Financial Services Organization?
A:- I focused on the diversity the roles offered and how the initial change of verticals (Electrical Engineer to
working as a Software Engineer) was a deliberate choice. I stated my inherent drive of being a Consultant
later in my career and how learning in the initial years played an important role in the process. And since
Consultancy involved catering to different verticals, why not start with Banking.
Q:- Had written Behavioral Analytics in my CV which is offered in VI term. So they asked why I put a subject I
did not know about? Also said that if the interviewer wanted to be a CEO of a company in 7 years, will I
appreciate it, if its mentioned in his CV.
A:- Intention was to let them know that I was learning BA in the next term. It is an event with 100% probability,
hence mentioned in the CV.
Q:- How can you increase the rank of Snapdeal on Google search engine when long tail keywords are typed?
A:- This was a technical question asked to me since I had previous experience in Search Engine
Optimization. So I told them about different ways (technical) through which rank can be increased. E.g.:
Enhancing the title tag, inbound links increase to inner pages, content blogging, etc.
Q:- Your client is left with a pile of cash for marketing. where would you suggest him to invest?
A:-Talked about the PLC. If product in Initiation/growth phase, invest in awareness. If in maturity, invest in
new market and so on.
Q:- What is the biggest professional challenge you have faced during your tenure at Mahindra?
Q:- Are you ready to work in operations again which you left and you can get better profiles from here like
consulting?
A:- Yes as the part of job requirement I am very open to work in operations again initially. But in the long term
I want to work in strategy and product management, supply chain and logistics planning etc. I dont want to
work forever in the same field as I want to keep my learning curve steep. If Amazon provides me such
opportunity with few years of working in operations then I am open to it.
Interview round 15-Then asked me about my hobbies. Told him I like Cooking, singing and watching Korean dramas. Told him
why I like watching Korean Dramas, compared it with English and Hindi TV series.
6-Then he gave me a guesstimate- For others also, the HR was carving out guesstimate questions out of the
CV only, for me and some others it was based on the hobbies, for some other it was based on work
experience.
My Guesstimate Question- Asked me to estimate no. of non-regional language TV shows tele-casted in India
(it was based on my hobby, since, I told him Like watching other language drama).
Then he went out of room as he was handling, multiple interviews.
Q:-How to gain the trust of the customers if there is any change in the location of manufacturing. Explain the
negotiation procedures.
- Price (low cost as it is in India)
- Quality ( certifications and quality standards)
- Supply Chain disruptions( Provide the customer with a proper schedule , accept penalty clause)
Learning from Internship, my role over there and whether recommendation was accepted.
Rest were general questions like hobbies, education, native place, parents occupation, etc.
Q:- What is six sigma? What is Lean six sigma and Various Six Sigma Tools and Techniques( Around
10mins)
-
Basic Definition
Six sigma relevance from Statistical angle
DMAIC and DMADVTool

Q:- Can Six sigma be implemented everywhere? How do you implement it?
Puzzle 1- there is a flower in a pond. It doubles itself in every 1 minute. The pond is full of flowers in
15minutes. When was the pond quarter full? Answer is 13th minute. Its a GP.
There were more questions that required narrating of some examples from job/internship
a) Challenging works done.
b) Where you experienced failure or messed up with the things.
c) Involvement in conflict resolution.
How did you overcome these situations?
What was your learning? Tell where did you apply this learning later on.
The focus had now moved to my courses. The first question that followed.
"Consider I am a bank and I have an internet channel, Presently I charge an exorbitant fee to the end
customer. Give me a 'pricing' strategy to charge it realistically.
The question seemed vague to me at first and hence, I made sure I had understood it properly by repeatedly
asking the panel whether my assumptions were correct. As I questioned, I jotted down the points in the
notepad given to me and then started drawing out the plan. I made sure that I spoke out loud at every step
as I tried to come to an answer. I set about with the Marketing Mix: everything was in place; the need of the
hour, as already stated, was to price the product realistically. Demand creation was the way to go driven by
the customer's willingness to pay.
One puzzle was asked wherein three switches are there outside the room. There is one bulb inside the room.
So I was asked how would I know which switch would be for bulb by just entering the room once.
A:- : It was a tricky question and I was not able to answer as I had never come across it. But the solution is
available online. The interested ones can browse it online.
Q:- What would your previous manager say are the areas you need to improve?
A:- Given two areas, adherence to coding standards (as I was not from CS branch) and being more
proactive.
I am an Electrical Engineer. So I was also asked technical questions related to engineering. Do not exactly
know the relevance of such questions

Instances from work experience where you have displayed leadership capabilities.
Q:- We are giving you one situation. In our FCs we have conveyor and packaging machine which does the
identification of right pack, packaging, invoice printing etc. and final package goes to warehouse for delivery.
If you have to design a performance measurement matrix for that how will you do that?
A:- I will design the matrix based on the requirement in the companys goal. The matrix will include both leg
and lead indicators. The monthly matrices will be based on leg indicators whereas the routine operations will
focus on lead indicators. I will select the parameters which covers quality, serviceability for both internal and
external customers, cost and productivity. For quality I will try to measure the defected packs or missing
invoice or wrong invoice something like that based on the sampling. For serviceability I will try to measure
line efficiency, days supply index which is indicator of inventory levels. For cost I will measure standard
versus actual cost per pack or I will divide in terms of variable or fixed cost. For productivity I will measure the
labor productivity in terms of Rs/pack.
My Guesstimate approach Clarified from him - what is the meaning of Non-regional - He clarified non-regional excludes Hindi and other
regional languages channel like Sun TV, Bangla Channels etc.
Therefore, which means I had to quantify the no of English and other nation language if tele-casted in India
per day
Approach:
Before starting to brief my approach to him, I very clearly stated my assumptions - First- I am not counting
and repeat telecast, only one telecast as one show.
Second - I will calculate it one per day basis and I am not counting movies
Then I told him my approach: It will consist of 2 broad language sets. 1- English, 2- any other country
language channel subscribed by viewers.
Started solving for the first set - A basic set top connection will have approximately 150 - 200 channels - 30
approximately would be Hindi, 100 approximately would be regional. So the remaining 50-70 would be
English, broke it down into music and News shows, Movie and entertainment.
Then took 8-10 non-repeat shows telecasted in each category and then multiplied. Also took 4 English
Cartoon channels
Now for solving other category, non-English but other nation language- I said there would be Indians who had
spent 8-10 years in foreign nations and expats from foreign nations settled in India who would have
subscribed foreign languages in India.
Then I came up with a list of 8-10 most probable countries visited by Indians
- Middle East countries, China, Malaysia, Singapore, US, Korea, France, Italy, UK.
Took three channels from each nation, multiplied by a figure of 8, and came up with a second set of no.
Finally add the two sets of Nos.
Q:- Why should we hire you?
A:- Strengths, prior experience with digital marketing, awards and accomplishments in marketing domain.
Q:- What is the most significant thing you have done in your life?
A:- Take and example of something you have achieved and what your contribution was in it. Your contribution
should reflect on the performance of the initiative you have worked on.
Was given a one line case on how affiliates which includes bloggers, Coupon sites etc. help bring traffic on
to Snapdeal's website. since this source was more inexpensive than Google had to suggest ways to scale
this.
Asking the right clarifications was what was supposed to be done.
Technical Round
Q: Industrial analysis of e-commerce
A: Explained with the numbers.
Data was given about the lead time of a product and that of its sub parts/components. I was asked to find the
latest date by which the final product could be shipped and the number of units of each sub part/component
that would be required for producing 100 units of the final product. Later modifications regarding the
production capability was introduced.
Q:-What is value stream mapping(VSM), its relevance, various symbols , draw a value stream map for a
given scenario.
- Language of lean to depict and improve flow of inventory and information
- Refer online materials on VSM
Q:- There are 3 switches outside a room. There is a bulb inside the room. You can enter the room just once.
Tell which switch belongs to the bulb.
A:- Turn on switch 1. leave it on for sometime because the bulb tends to heat up when it glows. Now turn off
switch 1 and turn on switch 2. enter the room. If the bulb is off but it is hot then switch 1 is the ans. If bulb is
on then switch 2 is ans. If bulb is off and is cold then switch 3 is the ans.
I was asked situation based questions like -what would you do if a seller doesn't agree to doing something &
questions like that.
What if we hire you and we don't give you any cutting edge work, the kind of projects we have promised, for a
long time? What will you do?
Q: Had mentioned many literary achievements so they wanted to test it by giving me a Turncoat topic. I was
asked to speak for 1 min out of which 30 seconds were for the topic and 30 seconds against it. Topic was : "A
is a bad interviewer" ( A being the interviewer giving me this task).
A: Hesitated for 2 seconds in the beginning when speaking for the topic. Was able to switch once 30 seconds
were up. Tried to highlight positives and negatives of the questions asked, their attitude and the process.
HR Questions: Like Introduce yourself, key strengths with examples, Short and long term goals.
Q: In a bidding war, how do you ensure you would win? (Game Theory)
A: I would collude (pretense) and convince my competitors to reveal our prices all at once luring them with a
credible promise.
Be prepared to answer the questions related to problems that the industry is facing and their solutions.
Puzzle: 5 race tracks and 25 horses. Find the top three horses in the minimum number of races

players as well as the services offered for the same.
Not Applicable
Q:- If you are the in-charge of one FC and VP mails you about that we need to put the leaflets in all the packs
for the promotional purpose after 15 days. How would you do that?
A:- I will try to find out what type of promotion it is and calculate the requirement for that. If say it is promotion
which needs to be sent with electronic items then I can dedicate the resources on that particular line. If it is
leaflet then it can be printed and can be packed as packaging material instead of blank paper which is used
in packaging. It can also be packed with the invoice. A machine can be installed if it doesn't require major
change in line layout. It can be manually inserted by deploying some additional manpower if the requirement
is not very high. Any option can be worked out depending upon the situation.
Asked me about my preference, I gave my Preference and Business Development Associate and the
marketing Manager. Asked me what I understand by BDA. Asked my why do you want to do Sales.
8-Then he asked me if I have any questions- asked about the market place model of Snapdeal, Told him of
FDI is allowed in multi-brand retail, will they come up with their own brand in electronics as Amazon has.
Q:- How will you pitch to a client to start advertising online using AdWords?
A:- Statistics about customers being more online than ever, searching before purchasing, more time online
than any other medium, competitors already reaching to customers online.
Q:- Question on hobbies. I write poems so they asked me if I can write one then.
A:- I only write when I feel some emotion strongly, so I cannot do it now.
Q:- If you have to increase the sales of Diabetes drug from 100 cr to 200 cr, what are the steps that you
would take?
- Asked questions like a normal case based interview( CAGR, Market Share, Competitors, Customers)
- Gave suggestions to target old age homes, create awareness)
- Also ,the younger population suffering from diabetes.
-Increase sales and distribution channel
Q: In Internship, How will you pitch your CEO to cater Indian Market for the Product.
A : As I was working as Marketing analyst in summer Intern for Resume Management Software (Product) .
As I directly worked with CEO of the company who was focusing only the US market and not Indian Market
for product. Take some time. Think. write some points on paper provided.
1) Instead of just targeting IT companies in India we can diversify to other industries also like Insurance,
Healthcare.

A:- 10 minutes

Q:- Have you ever been taken step against the management when you felt something was wrong?
A:- Yes I have done that. When I joined Dasna plant there was the practice of sending hourly SMS to
engineering AVP. He used to give them input for solving any problem if desired output was not achieved. I felt
that this practice made engineers just the postman and they were not working on solving problems.
Whenever I used to ask what are you doing to solve this problem then the response used to be that we have
sent the message to Mr. XX and he has told us to do that. I stopped this practice of sending these sums
immediately and instructed them to solve the problem on their own. Engineering VP called me for that and I
was asked to deliver the results no matter what method I used. The results initially dipped but started
improving and reached at accepted levels after sometime.

Situation- You are the head of inbound logistics at a fulfillment center. Your VP calls and tells that amazon is
launching a new phone next week and thus, will increase the load for 15 days. You have a week time to
adjust your operations. How will you change the infrastructure and operations?
A- There might be a need to increase number of workers ( can be hired on sub-contract basis so that no
need to fire later); pre-pone / postpone the receipt for orders other than amazon's phone.
So we believe you have learnt Six Sigma as your CV says. What did you learn in the course? Give examples.
Q: Was asked about the sports analytics project which I mentioned in my CV. They tried to grill me on the
significance of the project on the whole.
A: Justified saying that number of data points to be analyzed was less and wanted to only extend the
concepts learnt in the course. They kept stating that they dint find it relevant and after justifying it for some
time I accepted it with a smile.
After Jabong, he gave me a case wherein he took Snapdeal's entire process from Preorder to order
confirmation to shipping to delivery. Asked me to identify all the gaps in the process and find solutions for
filling the gaps.
For e.g. I identified a gap wherein even though customers are given the shipping date during the order
confirmation, still they call the customer service. The reason was that customers were not able to identify the
difference between the dispatching and shipping meaning, I was then asked how should this be solved.

Q:- Have you ever done something at your own which you felt that this was responsibility of senior
management?
A:- When I joined Dasna plant one of the line was not performing well in terms of cost numbers. The plant
had highly unionized environment and attrition rate of engineers was very high. None of the things were in my
control and I thought of trying to solve it as I was very enthusiastic on learning new things. The first thing
which I did that I tried to find out people who were open to the idea of change. There will be always few
people who will like the idea but wont come in open. I made them the torch bearer of management
philosophy and I made the workers who were most notorious and union members so that mass will follow
them if they are convinced.
Engineers left because they did not see the growth opportunities in the company. There was the position of
team leader in between engineer and manager which used to be filled from outside if any team leader left or
being promoted. I proposed the management to identify the high performing engineers and pass them
through some assessment and promote them as team leader instead of hiring from outside. This plan
improved the confidence of engineers.
Asked me if I had any questions. I asked him the same question that I asked the first interviewer - On

Then I suggested a category, which was no listed so far on any e- commerce platform, listed its Pros and

Q:If you are underperforming, and your manager asks you to take the short cut or quit. But this short cut is

Take initiative in Group Discussion. Make yourself heard. Your presence should be felt. Prepare your CV
well.
Prepare your resume & HR questions very well. Spend time on guesstimates also. Be confident through
every stage. Be very well apprised about the e-commerce industry. Read newspapers. Nothing compares to
knowledge.
Just a few.
1. Be confident
2. Make sure you demonstrate that you have clarity of thought.
3. Illustrate your answers with examples
4. If a case is given, make sure you ask relevant questions, state your assumptions and as you work out the
case, speak out loud so that they can gauge your thought process. To make sure that it doesn't backfire, go
through all the relevant preparation material forwarded by the IGs; specially the strategic frameworks and
guesstimates.
Should be thorough about everything written in your CV, even why you did a particular project. They might
test you on a specific point in the CV. They were not asking technical questions, did not get any questions
related to the banking sector. Be ready to think on your feet. Your attitude during the interview also matters.
Be thorough about the roles offered and why you prefer a particular role.
Well there is only one suggestion. It depends on you how you want to drive your interview. The lever is in
your hands. So try to orient the entire interview in the direction which you want. BE ENTHUSIASTIC. BE
YOU!
According to me, my stress interview went well mostly because I was not nervous, calm and indifferent to the
end result.
A confident demeanor, logical thinking, consistent answers and excellent communication skills with thorough
knowledge of your CV should get one thorough.
They give preparatory material beforehand. Go through it properly. Lear a lot about AdWords and its
application. Show structure in your approach. Be confident.
you will be given ample time to think over the questions and it is easy going. Be relaxed.
Do not panic. Just relax and answer all the questions patiently. They are looking for people who can think out
loud, answer coherently with clarity and confidence. Basic knowledge of Google's advertising products
(especially AdWords) is a must (a decent reading of their AdWords page will do).
Some of the questions were asked repeatedly in different rounds. They were doing consistency check i.e. the
answers for the same questions must be same with different panels because they noted down everything
and passed the feedback to next panel. The first question tell me about yourself is very important as it can
decide the direction of your interview. Therefore, it must be prepared well and preferably something other
than CV must be the answer of this question.
Research about the company, be thorough about your CV, management concepts and just answer
confidently and articulate well.
Be confident.
Be ready to face initial stress part and be honest with your answers, don't bluff.
Please prepare you HR really well. Instead of using adjectives to describe your self use life situations or
examples to explain. Know the industry in depth and bookish knowledge is not that much required in the
interviews. Yes also practice some puzzles, guesstimates. As these are asked not only in Consulting but in
many companies.
