Procedure of Network Settings of D9004/D9008/D9216

DVR Network Settings


1. Left-click

START

(RUN)

(OPEN).

Then input characters: ipconfig /all to obtain network parameters:

IP Address192.168.1.8

Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0


Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1

Host/IPplease set the DVR IP address


like 192.168.1.XXXXXX can be among
2~254 excepting 8. The DVR IP address
here is192.168.1.100 which is the factory
default setting.

the same with the DVR DNS
Reserved DNS and the setting of it is
optional

Sometimes the DNS here is incorrect. To make the confirmation, please input
the default gateway http://192.168.1.8 via IE to login Router to review the
correct DNS under running state

2. Switch on the DVR to enter into MAIN MENU--- NETWORK:

TYPE: STATIC (Recommended)


PORT/ WEB PORT: 9000/8080 --- Settable according to your requirements(As
the port 0080 is closed, please change it to
another port such as 8080)
IP ADDRESS/ NETMASK/ GATEWAY/ DNS: According to the LAN of DVR
(Please refer to step 1 )
Finally, left-click APPLY to save the settings

3. Left-click DDNS SETUP :

DDNS: ON
SERVICE: 3322/ DYNDNS

HOST NAME: testrraysharp.dyndns.org (Registered on www.dyndns.com )


USERNAME:
testrraysharp
(Registered on www.dyndns.com )
PASSWORD: 670632
(Registered on www.dyndns.com )
Left-click APPLY and exit all menus (including the submenu as well as
the main menu). Then restart DVR to save the settings

Port Mapping of DVR


5. Visit http://192.168.1.1 (DVR Gateway) via IE
Left-click Forwarding Rules Virtual Servers to map the ports of
DVR(including Media Port, Web Port and Mobile Server Port) to DVR IP
address. Then left-click Save to finish port mapping.

Remarks
The Service Ports are the same with the ports of DVR (including Media Port,
Web Por, Mobile Server Port and the ports between 1024 and 65535 are
recommended)

6. Make DVR access the LAN via network cable, and switch on a computer
having been connected to the LAN, then left-click

START

(RUN)

(OPEN). Then input characters: ping

DVR IP Address t:

If it is replied, it suggests DVR has accessed the LAN successfully :

Request timed out indicates DVR failed to access the LAN:

Remarks:
To confirm the access the LAN successfully:
a. Please check the quality of the network cable to make sure it is usable, and
ensure the connection of DVR and LAN by network cable is correct.
b. Please check whether the network parameters are correct and the settings
are saved as well as whether the DVR are restarted.
c. If it still failed, please change DVR IP address as well as the ports and save
the settings. Then restart the DVR to retest.
7. Remote Access via IE
Intranet Access: http://192.168.1.100:8080
Extranet Access: http://testrraysharp.dyndns.org:8080
To access DVR, password isnt needed.

Extranet Access testrraysharp.dyndns.org the domain name
registered on www.dyndns.com
Media Port: 9000 the same with DVR Media Port
