In compliance with the directives of Honble Supreme Court of India dated 29.4.2016 & 9.05.2016,
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has conducted National Eligibility Cum Entrance
Test-UG (NEET-I) and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG (NEET-II) on 1st May, 2016 &
24th July,2016 respectively.
CBSE is pleased to declare the result of both NEET-I & NEET-II as a combined result of National
Eligibility Cum Entrance Test-UG, 2016. While preparing the result, the orders of Honble Apex Court
with regard to declaration of result have been complied with.
Further, all critical issues were placed before the Honble Oversight Committee appointed by
Honble Supreme Court of India to monitor NEET-2016 which is comprised of Justice R.M.Lodha,
Former Chief Justice of India, Prof.(Dr.) S.K.Sarin, Director, Institute of Liver & Billery Sciences, Delhi &
Shri. Vinod Rai, Former CAG, Govt of India for their information and guidance to ensure the compliance
of the orders of Honble Supreme Court of India. In all such issues, the concurrence of Honble
Oversight committee was obtained. As it was done in NEET-2013, this year too, with the help of
experts, difficulty level of both the question papers of NEET-I & NEET-II was ensured to be similar. The
result has been prepared based on the various decisions of Honble Supreme Court of India on NEET2016.

As per decision dated 28.04.2016 of Honble Supreme Court of India, CBSE has provided All India Rank
to the candidates. Admitting Authorities will draw merit list based on All India Rank for the seats of
MBBS/BDS falling under their jurisdiction. Accordingly, candidates may get in touch with their respective
State/Institution for further information.
CBSE made elaborate arrangement for the smooth and fair conduct of examination across the nation
and abroad. Candidates and their parents were also informed to assist CBSE in the fair conduct of
examination. Both in NEET-I & NEET-II, 26 candidates were identified using unfair practices in the
examination. These candidates have been debarred permanently from appearing in the Medical Entrance
Examination conducted by CBSE.
Before declaration of result, CBSE has hosted the OMR Answer Sheets of all the candidates on website
for their information and make challenges if they found any discrepancy in the responses made by them.
Also, the answer keys were hosted on website for challenges. All the challenges received by CBSE were
duly addressed before preparation of result.
