Features of 4.3-10 Interface

Reliable PIM independent of torque
-> the 4.3-10 connector system allows constant PIM values for a wide range of torque values.
Therefore limits most installation failures for the future.

Excellent electrical performances

Low and reliable PIM (even if the

connector is not fixed finally during
installation, the PIM-Performance is
excellent independent of torque)

Small form factor future proof for 8x8

MiMo-applications
Very good RL/IL performance

High screening efficiency

High power performance for its form factor

Lower torque values

Comparison:
4.3-10 vs. DIN 7-16 / MiniDin 4.1-9.5 connectors
7-16 /
4.1-9.5

4.3-10

Figure 1

Figure 2

In todays connectors, the electrical and mechanical planes are the same (Figure 2).
For 4.3-10 these planes have been separated, which also results in a lower coupling torque (Figure 1).
This results in higher reliability, because the 7-16 design only have a good performance if the connectors
have been screwed together with the correct torque. Also the sealing situation is only ensured at 7-16 if the
correct torque is used during connecting.
In the 4.3-10 design the electrical performance is maintained even if the interface is not completely
tightened. This offers the possibility to have a hand-screw and quick-lock cable connector with high
reliability independent of torque.
With the 4.3-10 interface, easy handling and reliable useage by the installation companies is possible.
