The AS3 clock works with a GPS antenna providing the opportunity for worldwide
installation. Our device can be used as an astronomical clock for Public Lighting
applications, and can also be programmed for use as a universal clock for daytime lighting
(blinking sign lights, schools, fountains, etc.).
This device was designed for energy-efficiency and is our contribution to further sustainable
development strategies. We have selected low-consumption relays and indicators and we
have optimized internal operational processes.
When used as an astronomical clock, a photovoltaic cell may be added to enable daytime
lighting in stormy weather; this optional accessory can be installed through an outlet or
externally on a bracket (supplied).
Two technologies are available: photovoltaic, providing optimal quality optical
performances, or, temperature-compensated photodiode, enhancing the optical features of
the technology.
The user can easily access an annual twilight offset selector, located in the front panel,
which offers the option to select typical values.
A second selector may be used for specifying clock operation mode and for loading specific
programmes; it may also be used to easily force start.
The clock is equipped with 2 independent relay outputs, offering the possibility to, for
example, pilot starts in various ways or to manage festive lighting.
The device, reduced in size and fitted on a DIN rail, can be set up in any type of cabinet.
Its programming software, installed on a Windows compatible PC, enables direct
programme transfer through a USB connector. Users may also programme USB keys from
the Public Lighting operator's premises, then transfer programmes from these keys to the
AS3 astronomical clock.
Typical programming functions such as 12 twilight offsets, weekly programming, 20 one-off
programmes, are incorporated.
The software also provides look-ups (ephemeris, lighting period calculations, daily settings,
any-day settings, GPS antenna reception rate).
Product programming access and operating mode may be secured with a password (4
digits).
Its GPS antenna and French/English software installed on a Windows platform means it may
be used anywhere in the world.
