The two
Countries we
call home.

September 2016
be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.
Matthew 28:20 (NLT)
Saludos friends, family and church family,
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We pray this mission
letter finds you well, full of hope, and filled with His Goodness! Please pray with us
as we seek to please God and embrace His fulfillment in us.
Mission News we are in our US home in the Great State of Georgia!!
Our 3 month; resting/working/traveling/sharing ministry in Santo Domingo/getting
to serve our GA home church/spending time with family and friends/hugging
grandchildren-lots/going to football and soccer games/being fed and fed/loved on
and loved on furlough has begun!! We have had a wonderful but busy few weeks
back in the US with lots more we get to do while we are back in our first home
Country. Well return to our other home Country mid-November. It is only by Grace
that we can function in two lands, in two languages, in two+ cultures and we are
humbled to be given this privilege. It was soo hard to leave our people in Ecuador
but when we sat on the plane in the direction of Atlanta, Georgia USA throughout all
the leaving-tears God in His Goodness turned those tears to great JOY in knowing we
were going home this will happen again on November 17th when we are sitting on
the plane once again but in the direction of Quito, Ecuador, SA and God will turn the
tears from leaving this place into JOY knowing we are returning to the place where
God created us to be. Living in two lands can be hard at times even still there is
great JOY in getting to do what we get to do and Gods Promise to always be with us
is a great comfort in whichever direction the plane we are seated is headed.

One of our favorite things when in

the USA to look out our back
door from the place we call home
at the Steeple we have known for
25 years in the midst of Gods
shining Glory!

Stateside ministry has afforded us the blessing to spend a little time at Edisto Beach with our
grandsons and attend their football and soccer games. These are the things we miss when we
are in Ecuador but are grateful for Gods care of us through many so when we are able we can
spend as much time as possible with the grandest-grandchildren in all the World!
(to these two grandparents! ) LOVE, LOVE these grandbabies of ours!!
We have been
welcomed back
wonderfully
and have
enjoyed
gatherings with
family and
friends to
reconnect
around our
table and the
tables of
friends who
have cooked
graciously for
us. Family time
in restaurants
have been lots
of fun too. One
of our great
privileges was
to serve the
staff of our GA
home church
and to get to
know our new
Pastor more,
our church is
blessed to have
her. LMUMC
staff are always
helpful to us
from afar. We
are grateful!

Weve been able to

help prepare for an
upcoming 5K event
sponsored by our
Churchs Foreign
Mission Committee to
help with the churchs
2017 June 30 - July 9
Mission to Santo
Domingo to serve
alongside us and the
EUMC. The team is a
large group of over
30 traveling and we
look soo forward to
receiving them.
Planning with the
groups co-leaders
has been fun too.
Womens Ministry and
gleaning from their
faith in God has been
a super-blessing and
time to just listen and
be. And dinner with
the Mosaic UMC team
and Lewis peeps was
awesome!! God
continues to bless us
through these dear
Kingdom people!

What a JOY to get

to see our friends
who served with
us this past
summer, Due West
UMC from
Marietta, GA
love these people
of God and for the
opportunity to
share the Mission
of Jesus with their
church. They too
have confirmed
dates to return to
ECU in July 2017.
We also traveled
to our first home
State, NC and
Sharons first
home Church,
Roberdel UMC
for their annual
Homecoming
where we were
given the sermon
time to share the
Mission of Jesus in
Santo Domingo.

While at Roberdel UMC we also got to visit with those whom we have known our whole lives, who pray
for us and the people we serve. Including Grahams sister and brother-in-law from Pinehurst, NC. This
trip we took along our oldest grandson and showed him off a bit while there. Our youngest grandson will
travel with us this coming weekend to Alcoa, TN when we get to share the ministry in Santo Domingo
with the congregation there on World Communion Sunday. Gonna be awesome! AND while home
Sharon has been gifted as time allows with the opportunity to help with childrens music on Sunday
afternoons at Lewis Memorial. We are grateful for all the attention we have been shown and the blessing
of fellowship and connection. God keeps loving us through many He is so Good to us All the Time!
A day hasnt gone by that we havent heard from at least 1 child in Santo Domingo asking when we are
ever coming home! My Teachers and Assistants are doing awesome I am soo very proud of them!

And so dear people as we continue our Stateside ministry for the next 7 weeks we
are trying to rest a little in between church visits to just do nothing! Thats so hard!!
God through soo many is caring for us graciously. Words cannot fully describe all
God does for us, in us and through us, and those we serve through those who come
and those who pray and those who send God has wonderfully added individuals
and churches to our lives precious examples of Jesus heart among us!
We praise God from Whom ALL blessings flow. We are soo very grateful for the support we have
received and continue to receive in prayers and financial blessings which helps greatly to keep
us going in the direction God is moving in our lives here to the places and people He places in
our paths. As ministry continues to grow and spill over into other communities filled with
children nearby GLORY!! we are humbled to be included in the lives of all the people God
generously gives us to love and to be able to help to keep warm and dry, and now cool and dry
equator living!! And along the way the blessing and calling of feeding them spiritually and
emotionally and physically. Please prayerfully consider joining Jesus in His mission alongside us
feeding hungry tummies and sweet little hearts as we be the Gospel for the people as
empowered by His Good and Faithful Spirit. We simply cannot continue in His service here
without your prayers and financial partnership and support. We thank God for you all!
God bless the faithful who have kept us going and continue to be blessings in our lives and in
the lives we are called to serve and love into the Kingdom together. Thank you!! It is an
incredible JOY!!!
Yours in Christ,
Graham and Sharon
