Automatic optimization tools based on hotel customer service.
In the field of production there are so many items and points of view for an
industrial engineering, from a Company that is working in the manufacture
operation to the other one that is giving a service, may be can be a bank,
supermarket, a mail carrier service or a hotel, the recomendation is to try to
look for an automatic system in orden to optimize the operation.
When the main point is based on a hotel, we can think about all the
departments that a similar business used to have, for example:

Reception and reservations.

Operations department.
o Laundry - Swimming Pool - Maintenance
Security
Marketing
Administration
o Accounting department - Treasury department.

And, how to know that and industrial engineer can be in charge of this
company? Well, everywhere always is going to exists a process, and in this
process could be for only administration or for a service, an industrial engineer
must enhance this process with eficient, effective and good quality job, all this
porpuses can be accompanied with automatic tools, the big help about
minimize the work.
Depending in the kind of company, service or goods, is very important to take
in mind which is the quality developed, it is easy to remember the grow of the
business, if there are not clients, we can not wait for eranings. Don not forget
what is the company doing for the best job and the competition.
All the tools and automatic systems that can be use in this example, hotel,
always is going to be a help, sometimes it makes a service with less minutes
waiting, and in the other side, the cost is lower.
When a process is automatic, is no necessary also a faster process, so, in the
moment that this system, machine or similar is being analized to start the
operation, must analized the during on an specific process, and try to minimize
this time too.
All the process can be improved with a good analysis and statistical treatment,
and of course, to choose a system, preferably automatic tool, looking for the
continuos improvement, and in the same chain more benefits, received by
clients and company.
