RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Evernote is a cross-platform, free application designed for note taking, organizing, and archiving. The
app allows users to create notes which can be a piece of formatted text, a full webpage or webpage
excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten "ink" note. Notes can also have file attachments.
Notes can be sorted into a notebook, tagged, annotated, edited, given comments, and exported as part
of a notebook.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

This would be a great tool for students to type their class lecture notes on as well as creating their own
type of schedule to keep forever. It is great for sharing your notes or other class assignments to
classmates. It is also a great place for students to involve themselves with the internet, as well as
creating a learning profile that the teachers can go and look at for grading.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION

Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration
you described, using the selected resource?
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

The integration idea should be rated on the 2-3 scales. It would be great for students to be able to take
notes on a class lecture rather than having to take notes on paper. It makes it easier for the teacher to
formally assess the students, and see where they are at in the learning process. It formally aligns with
content standards, because it is a perfect way for students to organize their notes and thoughts all in
one place.
