Taught five math classes to small groups of junior high students using varied instructional
practices/techniques. Built relationships with students and community members to gain a better
understanding of the learning and personal needs of students and support them holistically to narrow the
achievement gap. Collaborated with Math Fellows on planning lessons by using data to identify student
stumbling points and designing activities to enhance student mastery.
Raised the MAP test scores of approximately 50% of my students by at least one grade level.
