This bonus programming assignment asks students to implement Barnard's stereo method using simulated annealing to compute depth and disparity from stereo images. Students are to code the algorithm, provide sample outputs and intermediate results, and discuss any problems in a project report. The deliverables are due by December 3rd and should include source code that reads input images and calls processing functions, with outputs emailed to the provided address.

Barnards Stereo Method using simulated annealing algorithm
The goal of the bonus assignment is to compute depth/disparity by using Barnards stereo method and simulated annealing algorithm. Please see slides 19-21 on Stereo lecture. Deliverables: Source code, Project report including images/outputs of intermediate steps and final outputs/images, discussion about problems encountered, where the algorithm fails. Data: Sample left and right images are provided on the course webpage. http://crcv.ucf.edu/courses/CAP5415/Fall2012/PA4_data.zip (The disparity range for the first set of images can be set to 15 and for the second set it can be set to 10.) Please call your main function main.m. This m-file should call read the inputs, and call all the other written m-files for processing or display. Please e-mail your deliverables to berkansolmaz@yahoo.com by 23:59 on 12/03/2012.
