ABSTRACT
From the various regions in Indonesia, regional Province of East
Java is one of the areas are categorized in prone to landslide. One of
the zones prone landslides in East Java, is in the village of Klemuk,
Batu City. Klemuk is the road trafiic alternative Malang-Batu Kediri.
This area have high activity traffic and also were up and down the
road. Therefore, it is considered necessary to conduct a research in
the area Klemuk, to determine the potential of sliding surface using
geoelectric resistivity dipole-dipole configuration. Data collection
was performed with a step to collect is the primary data, in the form
of observations and direct surveys to the field, and measurements
using geoelectric (resistivity meter). While the secondary data
sources were such as from the study of literatures and from scientific
publications. Measurements were taken in 5 lines, 3 horizontal lines
and 2 vertical lines, where the vertical lines are crossing over the
horizontal lines. The results of the measurements show the
connection between one line and the other lines. There are two layers
detected, first layer is clay/ sandy clay and the other layer is gravel.
Sliding surfaces, detected at line 1, 2, and 3, are at depths of 10 m 15 m, with a range of values of resistivity of 88,3 - 131 m. Sliding
surfaces in lines 4 and 5 are at a depth of 5 m - 20 m, with a range
of values of resistivity of 88,3 m - 131 m. Based on the results of
measurement and processing data, then the slope of the landslide
can be determined, it is about 18,55 and categorized as a rather
steep slope. Type of the landslides and direction of the landslides can
be determined according to the form of sliding surface. The types of
the landslides in the research area are rotation and translation
landslides. The direction of the landslides is dominant toward the
east, but some toward the north, because elevation in the north is low
enough.
