Putting a First Aid kit together

All workplaces, Leisure centres, homes and cars should have a first-aid kit. The Kits for the
workplace and leisure centres however must conform to legal requirements and in some cases
these kits may be tailored to suit what is required such as adding additional equipment for a
specific use. The first-aid kit should be clearly marked and easily accessible for the trained first
aider. For the home or the car, a complete basic first-aid kit can be bought or you can assemble a
kit yourself. lf you decide to assemble your own kit use a clean waterproof container. Mark it
clearly and store it in a dry place. Check your kit regularly and replace items as soon as possible
after your kit has been used. lf for any reason you carry ointments, creams, aspirin, paracetamol
etc in your kit, always make sure that they are in date. A small flashlight or pen torch that can fit in
your kit can be worth having as an add-on. For your car, a high visibility vest is a good purchase
and should be kept within easy reach. The ideal place is under your seat. A current, pocket size
first-aid book is also worth having as a reference. Acute Medical Training and supplies can supply
you with first aid kits and books if required. A large range of courses from basic first aid to
emergency first responder courses are also available. Check us out on our website or on Facebook
as we post all our courses well in advance, or contact us if you want to run a course in your area.

Newsletters can serve a wide variety of purposes for your company. Key newsletter advantages include
helping you and your company to:
1. Make Your Company Known
When you have a newsletter of company information that is distributed regularly, you will lead your
customers to cultivate a sense of brand recognition. They are also likely to appreciate the thoughtfulness of
your newsletters and develop a preference for your company.
2. Communicate Effectively
Newsletters function as a written form of communication with your potential customers. A timely newsletter
conveys the specific message you have in mind and can be dispersed to many people in a very short
amount of time.
3. Inform Your Potential Customers
A newsletter can serve as a valuable source of information for your potential customers. You can use your
newsletter to give updates of what's going on in your company, share the latest innovations, and even have
a question and answer section where you answer the questions frequently asked by your customers.
4. Build Your Company's Reputation as an Authority
lf your newsletters contain relevant, cutting edge, high quality information, you can show your company's
expertise and establish yourself as an authority in the industry.
5. Attract New Customers
A well-designed newsletter can be effective in attracting new customers to your company. ln addition to
giving you space to share detailed information about your products, a newsletter also gives you the
opportunity to let people know about your non-business related efforts, such as charity work or community
service. Letting people see your company doing good makes them more inclined to think highly of you.
6. Announce Upcoming Sales
Letting your customers know about upcoming sales or special offers is a great way to increase sales
among your current customer base.
7. Provide In-Depth Details
Unlike Twitter and other forms of social media that restrict the amount of information you can get across, a
newsletter allows you to share as much or as little information as you want. Having the option to include
details means you can accurately convey your company's mission, values, and products in a way that does
them justice.
8. Generate More Website Traffic
lf you include your website links in your company newsletter, you can encourage your customers to visit
your site to find out more about topics mentioned in the newsletter. And, using website promotion
effectively can have the ripple effect of resulting in better sales.
9. Save Valuable Time
Now that we have the option to send newsletters electronically, you have more time to focus on the other
important aspects of your business. Because designing and sending electronic newsletters is such a quick
process, it's one of the best marketing tools available to your business.
10. Save Money
Newsletters can ultimately save your company money because the information and outreach they
accomplish can be created and distributed with very litfle cost.
lf your company doesn't already have its own newsletter, it's time to think about starting one.
Maybe you've had second thoughts about this because of the time and energy you thought were required,
or maybe you thought your company couldn't afford it. But as we have clearly seen, newsletters are one of
the most time-efficient, cost-effective marketing techniques out there.
Whether you're the manager of a poker casino, veterinary practice, or a restaurant, newsletters are a
valuable tool to market the products and services you offer. So for those of you who've been saying you
can't afford to start a newsletter, we'd say you can't afford not to.
