The Pearce family began fishing on the Thames in the 1700s and
continued for several generations. Pictured below are Henry
Bommer Pearce and his cousin Dick Pearce. Not many years after
this picture was taken, Bommers peterboat was left abandoned
in the mud of the Thames at Kew, where it slowly disintegrated.
